BURBANK, Calif. - Clara Louise Jones, 75, died here Tuesday.
She is survived by two brothers, Eugene W. Jones of San Angelo, Texas and Louis Marshall Jones of Mountain View, Ark.; one sister, Velma Steinmetz of Oviedo, Fla.,; nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Fairmont Cemetery with the Rev. David Bratcher officiating. Friends may call at Moss Funeral Residence after 6 p.m. Thursday.

Splendid Citizen and Farmer Passes Away Near Roaring Spring
Heart Affection Of More Than A Year Claimed Its Victim Friday Night
Mr. Clifton H. Jones, one of the leading farmers of Trigg county, died last Friday night about three o'clock at his home near Roaring Spring.
A heart affection from which he had suffered for more than a year caused his death.
Few people knew of Mr. Jones' trouble, in fact when told of his condition more than a year ago, he imparted this information only to his wife. On the day before his death he spent the day at work on his farm. The family retired as usual, and about one o'clock the storm awoke him with others of the household. They soon went back to sleep and had ate a hearty supper that night, an hour or two later Mrs. Jones was aroused by a peculiar noise the husband was making. She lifted him up and instantly realized that he was suffering. She immediately arose and lighted the lamp and called to the children in adjoining rooms, and then returned to the bed where her husband lay. He gasped once or twice and then ceased to breathe.
Mr. Jones was forty - seven years of age, and was a son of the late Tillman Jones, a prominent citizen of that section in his day. He was married some years ago to a daughter of the late Al Crenshaw, and the wife and three children, a daughter and two sons, survive him. Two sisters and a brother reside in California and a brother in Oklahoma.
Mr. Jones was a leading citizen in his section and was a prominent and successful farmer. He was a good neighbor and a splendid citizen and his sudden taking away is deeply mourned by hundreds of friends and loved ones.
The burial took place Monday at the grave yard on the Walter Martin farm near Roaring Spring.

George Jones Dies In Veteran's Hospital In Illinois George Jones, a former Trigg county man, died December 28th, after a long illness.
Mr Jones was a veteran of World War I. He was operated on in a hospital at Herrin, Ill, and was never able to be returned home.
Mr Jones was born in between the rivers section of Trigg county and lived there until moving to Marshall county several years ago.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the W.O.W.The funeral was held at Fair Dealing Church in Marshall county. Sunday afternoon. Bro. Golf, of Benton, was in charge and the Masons held a Masonic funeral service at the grave. Aurora, Benton and Golden Pond Lodges were represented.

HUGH JONESFireman On Nashville Division Meets With Mysterious Death.
Another employe of the Illinois central railroad has been knocked or has fallen from the engine cab in some unknown manner and met with a sudden and mysterious death.Almost two weeks ago engineer Butler was killed with his hand on the throttle somewhere near Horse Branch, and yesterday morning about 100:300 o'clock, Hugh Jones was knocked from the locomotive on a bridge one mile north of Spalding, Tenn., and when found shortly after was dead.
He was firing on the enging 6007, with Engineer Loftus at the throttle and Conductor Harmon in charge of the train, which was a freight going north. No. 607 is one of the largest and most powerful engines used in freight transports, with eight drive wheels, this class being installed on the branch of the road since the opening of the Nashville division. The engineer and fireman are completely isolated the one from the other, and engineer Loftus did not suspect anything wrong until he noticed that the steam had fallen from 140 to 1200. He then investigated and noted the absence of his fireman. The train which had been proceeded about a mile beyond the bridge was brought to a standstill while trainmen went back down the track in search of the missing man. Then they arrived at the bridge they saw that the body had already been found by the track walker. The unfortunate man was hanging by one arm and one leg to the iron work of the bridge and was dead. Of course the manner in which he actually met his death will never be known, but the supposition os some is that he was leaning out at the side to get a drink of water from the tender and fell or was knocked off.
The body was carried to clarksville where it was prepared for burial and the remains arriv ed in this city last night on the 8:30 train.
The deceased was a son of Mrs Mildred Jones of Princeton and was twenty-one years of age. The family rsides in one of the Ratliff cottages across from the railroad from the Stegar a& Dollar tobacco factory.
The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the family residence. Caldwell Co. 1906

JOHN C. JONESJohn C. JONES, a respected citizen of this county, died at his home at Center Furnace the 30th day of December, 1904.
His remains were brought to Canton by his sons, William and Cash JONES, on Sunday, January 1st.
The remains were taken into the Union Church where Brother Charlie HERNDON preached a good funeral sermon to a company of his old friends and acquaintances.
He was then taken to the Canton cemetery where he was buried beside his wife.
Brother Jones was a native of Christian county. He was born March 1, 1826. Nearly 79 years old when he died. He moved to Trigg county in 1846, and engaged in school teaching. He would go to New Orleans occasionally on a flat boat. He joined Mt Pleasant Baptist Church in 1852, and for some time acted as clerk. He moved back to Christian county in 1862 and joined Sinking Fork Church and lived in that church eleven years.
When he came back to Trigg he was a member of Canton Church until he left there for Furnace and died a member of the Cumberland Church.
He married a Miss ANDERSON in 1849. She died at the ferry house at Canton in 1877. He married a Miss BARNES in 1892, whom he leaves with several children.He has three living sons by his first wife, and they are all married and have families, who will mourn for him. Mrs. Tom Jones Takes Her Own Life
Well-Known Lady Of The County Shot Self With Pistol Monday
Worry Over Domestic Troubles For Some Time Doubtless Cause of Deed
Mrs. Pearl Jones, aged about forty and wife of Thomas H. Jones, committed suicide by shooting herself with a pistol last Monday morning about six o'clock.
The tragedy took place on the farm of L. H. Averitt, in Caledonia section, where Mr. and Mrs. Jones had been living for perhaps two months past.
From information obtained from sources reliable, it seems that Mr. and Mrs. Jones had arisen at the usual hour and breakfast was over. Mr. Jones had gone to the stable some three hundred yards away evidently preparing to go to work on the place.
No one was with Mrs. Jones when the rash deed was done and the shot which she fired was not heard by any one.
The little daughter of the home, Katie Mae, aged fourteen, was sleeping in an adjoining room. The little girl said she did not hear the shot fired, but it is presumed that she might have been awakened by the shot.
When she arose she went into the room where she found the mother lying on the floor dead. She ran to tell the father, and Mr. Will Goode, a near neighbor, hearing her cries rushed to the home and was the first to enter the house.
Mrs. Jones was not in the room where the family had spelt the night before, but in an adjoining room. She was on the floor in a pool of blood, with the pistol gripped tightly in her left hand, she being left handed.
Mr. Goode placed his hand on her head and then felt of her pulse, and found that she was dead, and then took the pistol out of hand. By this time Mr. Jones and the little daughter had reached the house and neighbors were notified, and the body prepared for burial.
The pistol used was a thirty-two Smith & Wesson, and was the property of the home.
It is said that Mrs. Jones had worried for some time over family troubles, and that she had showed signs of not being at herself all times. As a matter of precaution, the pistol had been placed in a bureau drawer and the drawer locked. From the appearance of the bureau, it seems that Mrs. Jones had opened another drawer and ran her arm into the locked drawer and got the pistol with which she shot herself.
Only one shot was fired and this in her forehead. It is thought the pistol was placed against the head, as the hole where the ball entered was very large.
It is not known just what moment the shooting took place, but Mr. Goode said she was warm when he reached her, and it is his opinion that the shooting took place just a few minutes before the little daughter gave the alarm.
The Jones farm, one of the best In the section of Kentuck's bridge, five miles east of Cadiz, was being operated this year by the son in law, of Mr. and Mrs. Jones, Mr. Casey Freeman, and Mr. and Mrs. Jones had moved to the Averitt place some weeks ago. Where Mr. Jones was planning to make a crop.
Mrs. Jones was the daughter of the late James A. Broadbent, one of the county's most prosperous and successful farmers. She was about forty years of age, and is survived by the husband and two daughters, Kattie Mae, and Mrs. Casey Freeman.
She is also survived by her brothers, Messrs. Jet and Burley Broadbent, and one sisters, Mrs. George W. Diuguid.
Mrs. Jones was a splendid lady, a good neighbor and a devoted friend, wife and mother, and had for years been a member of Bethel Methodist church.

Former Citizen Of Trigg Passes Away Near Fulton
Uncle Of Mrs. Wallace And Mrs. Jefferson Was Seventy-Three Years Of Age
Mr. Rufus T. Jones, son of the late John C. Jones, of near Canton, and uncle of Mrs. Albert Wallace and Mrs. John Pl Jefferson, of this place, died on June 5th at the home of a friend near Fulton.
He was stricken with paralysis at the home of Mr. H. L. Putman on the morning of May 26th and lived only eleven days. He was never able to speak and the end came at 7:10 p.m. on June fifth.
Mr. Jones spent ten days here Christmas visiting Mrs. Wallace.
Had he lived until the seventeenth day of this month he would have been seventy three years old.

She is survived by her husband, Leo JONES; one daughter, Mrs. Charles William McCLURE of Henderson; three sisters, Mrs. Logan RICHARDS of Madisonville, Mrs. J. D. FORD and Mrs. James Dixie HUNT, both of Henderson; three brothers, Herbert UTLEY and Harry UTLEY Jr., both of Henderson, and Cabel UTLEY of Louisville; and five grandchildren.

NEW YORK CITY - Walter A. JONES, ?6, died Thursday in New York City.
He was a World War I veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Martha; a son, Charles L. JONES, a daughter, Barbara ROTINDO, both of New York; a sister, Georgia JONES, Henderson; five grandchildren, five great-grand children
and a cousin.
Services will be Tuesday in New York with burial in National Cemetery in Long Island.

Last Wednesday the funeral rites were held for another fine citizen of Trigg county, William J JONES, who was born February 20, 1857 died January 10, 1944 after a long illness.
In early life Mr Jones was married to Lou CRUTE and to this union were born two sons, Curt and Louie.
His first wife died and he was later married to George Alpha NUNN to this union were born two sons and two daughters, Iva Pearl Gordon, who passed away in 1915 at Golden Pond; Mattie Pugh now of Sturgis, Ky; Noah Jones of Trigg county and Joe Hoy Jones of Marion, Ky. The mother of these children passed away in 1927 and Mr Jones was again united in marriage to Mrs Tamm Oakley who proceeded him in death.
A fourth marriage was to Mrs Ambie Leneave who survives.
Interment was made near his home place at the Cumberland Church cemetery with Rev J.J. Jenkins officiating.
Services were held from the Cumberland Church.
Mr Jones was a native Trigg countian and lived his entire lifetime on the farm he was born, having resided in the home for 65 years. suffered during a game of Russian Roulette with

12, 1990, the son of Ephriam William Jones,
Annapolis, Md., and Kimberly Henderson
Barrineau, Oak Grove. He was a fifth grade student
at Pembroke Elementary School.In addition to his parents, survivors include two
brothers, James Jones Jr., the home, Eshawn Jones,
Annapolis; three sisters, Janay, Akierra and Ehjaie
Beyounce Jones, all of Annapolis; his paternal
grandparents, Frank and Mary Jones, Annapolis,
and maternal grandparents Bill and Eloise
