VERNELL JORDAN
ELKTON, Ky. - Vernell Woosley Jordan, 84, Elkton, died at 9:30 p.m. Friday at Hearthstone Place of natural causes.

Services were Sunday afternoon at Martin Funeral Home with the Rev. W. D. Sharp officiating. Burial was in Meadow Haven Cemetery.

A native of Christian county, she was born September 13, 1914, the daughter of the late Belvie L. "Doc" and Vastie Hack Woosley. She was a seamstress and a member of the Elkton Baptist Church. Her husband, Hubert Jordan, died in 1968. She also was preceded in death by a son James Hubert Jordan.

Survivors include a daughter, Sarah Hampton, Elkton; a brother, Robert Woosley, Georgia; three sisters, Vera Bryan, Baltimore, Virginia Weakley, Owensboro, Belvi Glenn, Clarksville, Tenn; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. - Pennyrile Deaths - April 26, 1999
