Charles "Skipjack" Kirby, 82, of Cadiz, died Sunday, March 25, 2001, at his home.
A farmer and member of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church in Cadiz, he was born Dec. 27, 1918, in Cadiz, a son of the late Exzeria and Lula Belle Irvin Kirby.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Larane Wharton Kirby.
Survivors include a daughter, Lynn Dixon of Princeton; 22 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a sister, Aevelious Watkins of Indianapolis, Ind.; two cousins, Russell and Roberta Ladd of Cadiz.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 30, at 1 p.m. at Rocky Ridge Baptist Church in Cadiz with the Rev. Troy Ladd officiating.
Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Gamble Funeral Home of Hopkinsville is in charge of arrangements.
