Edwin Neil Lancaster, 74, of 926 Washington St., died at 10 p.m. Saturday at Redbanks Nursing Center.
He is survived by his wife, Grace; two daughters, Mary Majors and Betty Sue Martin, both of Henderson; one son James Lancaster of Henderson County; brother, Robert Lancaster of Henderson; --grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Tapp Funeral Home.

Splendid Lady Of Near Oak Grove Passes Away At Sixty-Three
Mrs. Julie Lancaster, wife of Trimble T. Lancaster, of the Oak Grove section, six miles south of Cadiz, died on Wednesday afternoon of last week at six o'clock of blood poison.
The trouble started by something like a bone felon, and the infection became so serious that death resulted after a week's suffering.
Mrs. Lancaster was sixty-three years of age and the daughter of Mr. Ben Flood long deceased. She was united in marriage almost forty six years ago to Mr. Lancaster, and three daughters and the husband survive her. The daughters are Mrs. Smoot Barnett and Mrs. Crenshaw Barnett of Montgomery county, Tenn., and Miss Garvie Lancaster who is at home. Three sisters also survive Mrs. Adaline Lawrence and Miss Parthenia and ---- all of Trigg county.
Mrs. Lancaster was a member of Oak Grove Baptist church and had been for many years. She was a good woman with many friends and her death has brought much sorrow and sadness to loved ones and among her neighbors and friends.
Burial took place Thursday afternoon at the Lawrence grave yard four miles west of Cadiz.

LONE LANCASTERMrs Lone LANCASTER, widow of the late Esq. W.D. LANCASTER, of near Maple Grove, died late last Saturday afternoon at the house of Ed Calhoun, her nephew near Cumberland Church between the rivers.
Mrs Lancaster was on a visit to the family of Mr Calhoun.
She, with the members of the family, was at the supper table when she was attacked with a smothering spell and a slight hemorrhage.
She was removed to the family room and placed on the bed and in a very few moments breathed her last. Death was due to complications of the heart.
Mrs Lancaster was about sixty years old and was a native of Illinois where she lived until her marriage to Esq. Lancaster about forty years ago, , Her husband died about a year ago, and the following children survive her: Lee Lancaster, of graves county; Gates LANCASTER, of Pittsburgh, Pa; and Mrs Dale BRIDGES, Miss Maggie LANCASTER and Mr and Mr Harry LANCASTER, of Trigg county.Mrs Lancaster had long been a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, and was a good Christian woman, a kind neighbor and friend, and in her death the community loses a member who will long be remembered for the many deeds of kindness which it was her pleasure to show to those in need of assistance.
The burial took place Monday in the old Edmund Lancaster burying ground six miles west of Cadiz in the presence of a large number of sorrowing friends.
Funeral services were conducted at the grave by her pastor, Rev. John T. Cunningham of Canton. Her son, Lee Lancaster of Graves county, arrived in time to attend the funeral. Cadiz Record - Feb 1905

OTHO E. LANCASTER, 88, Champion Highway, Pembroke, died at 6 p.m. Thursday at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Maddux Funeral Home, Hopkinsville, with Carl Suddeth officiating. Burial will be in Rawlins Cemetery, Pembroke. Visitation will be from 5 until 9 p.m. Saturday.A native of Christian County, he was born August 27, 1910, the son of the late W. R. and Lula Combs Lancaster. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Pembroke Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Eula Lancaster; four daughters, Betty Jean Lancaster, Norene Moore and Mae Jane Lancaster, all of Pembroke, Diane Over, Mifflinburg, Pa; a brother, Frank Lancaster, Pembroke; a sister, Ella Murphy, evansville, Ind;; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. - Pennyrile Deaths May 7, 1999

Has Several Relatives Living In Christian County
Mr. Richard Lancaster, brother in law of Mr. William G. McGehee, of Gracey, and uncle of Mr. R. S. McGehee, of Pembroke, and Messrs. J. W. and T. A. McGehee, of Clarksville, died on the 5th inst., near Orange Court House, Virginia, aged 65 years. He was a former Confederate soldier and leaves a family.

SAMUEL LANCASTERMr. Samuel LANCASTER, the last remaining Confederate veteran in Trigg County, died at his home on Beechy Fork Creek in this county last Thur. evening at 7 PM.
He was born, according to the records, in Trigg County 7-29-1843.
Burial at the Allen Graveyard. In early life he was married to Miss Parthenia LAWRENCE, dau. of Humphrey LAWRENCE, who preceeded him to the grave many years ago.
He was later married to Miss Maggie HUTCHISON, who also preceeded him in death. Two daus., Mrs. Henry BRIDGES and Mrs. Eura FRANCE, survive him. Also numerous grandchildren, some great grandchildren and 1 g-g-grandchild.
War records in the court house disclose the fact that Mr. LANCASTER with 16 other men of Trigg County, enlisted in Oct. 1860 in the Confederate Army at Stewart County, Tenn. as a member of 50th Tenn. Regiment. A.C. RICHARDS was the captain in his company. This regiment was taken at once to Fort Donelson and assisted in the erection of fortifications at that place and fought through the battle at Fort Donelson in Feb. of 1862. His regiment was captured at the fall of the fort, but he made his escape the Sunday following the capture. His company was later exhanged for other prisoners at Vicksburg on the 29th of Sept., 1862, and later reorganized at Sweetwater, Miss. He never rejoined his original company, but did re-enlist in the CSA in the 2nd Ky. Cavalry during Aug. of 1862, prior ot the reorganization and served under Col. Woodard. he served in the company until his capture by the Federals and was confined in a Federal prison at Hopkinsville.
An application for a Confederate pension made by Mr. LANCASTE discloses the fact that he was confined to the Federal prison in Hopkinsville in March of 1863, but was released the same month when the Federal prisoners at that place were to be moved. He was sick at the time and unable to travel, but was told that if he took the oath of allegiance to the US he would be allowed to go home. He took the oath and was allowed to go home.
P.B. HARRELL, former Confederate Vet., served with Mr. LANCASTER in the Tenn. Regiment and H.C. VINSON and M.M. WILLIAMS, both of this county, were companions in the 2nd Ky. Cavalry. Mrs. Sam Lancaster Dead After Long Illness
She Was A Miss Hutcherson And Dropsy Was The Cause Of Her Death
Mrs. Samuel Lancaster, of near Maple Grove, died on Wednesday afternoon of last week at three o'clock after an illness of some weeks of dropsy. Her condition had been quite critical for several days.
Mrs. Lancaster was a Miss Hutcherson before her marriage to Mr. Lancaster some ten years ago, being the second wife. She was a clever lady with many friends.
Burial took place on Thursday afternoon at the Allen grave yard near where she died.

Trimble Lancaster Follows Wife To Grave
Well Known And Clever Farmer Lives Only Six Days After Wife's Death
Passed Away Tuesday Afternoon Of Pneumonia And Other Troubles Following Flu
Mr. Trimble Lancaster, a well known and clever citizen on the farm of Mrs. Mary Armstrong six miles south of Cadiz, died Tuesday afternoon of pneumonia and other complications following an attack of flu.
He lived only six days after the death of the wife, who died on March 10th of blood poison, and notice of whose death appears in another column of THE RECORD today.
Mr. Lancaster was sixty seven years of age and had resided all his life in Trigg. He was the son of Mr. Thomas Lancaster, of Trigg county, deceased, and among the surviving brothers and sisters are Ezekiel Lancaster and John Lancaster, of Trigg county.; Doxx Lancaster, of Mayfield; Jim Lancaster, and one sister, Mrs. Joe R. Hughes, Mayhew, Miss; Mrs. Tom Thomas, of Calloway county and Joe Lancaster, of Florida. Three daughters also survive him. They are Mrs. Smoot Barnett and Mrs. Crenshaw Barnett, of Montgomery county, Tenn., and Miss Garvie Lancaster, the single daughter.
Mr. Lancaster lived for many years near Maple Grove, and the first of the year moved from a farm upon which he had resided for thirty-six years.
He was a member of the Baptist church, and was an honest, upright citizen, fair in his dealings and his word was his bond. He had the respect of all and was a man the county can ill afford to lose.
Funeral and burial took place yesterday afternoon at the Lawrence grave yard four miles west of Cadiz.

Tuberculosis Fatal To William Henry Lancaster
Splendid Young Man Of Maple Grove Died Last Thursday Night At 22
William Henry Lancaster, a splendid young man living in the neighborhood of Maple Grove, some eight to ten miles south of Cadiz, died last Thursday night at ten o'clock of tuberculosis.
He had been in declining health since last November and for a month past had been confined to his bed.
He was twenty two years of age and a son of the late Monroe Lancaster, being the oldest of a family of four children. He is survived by the mother, Mrs. Eunice Lancaster, two brothers and one sister.
H has many relatives and friends in the county. He was a young man held in highest esteem and was an industrious and clever young farmer and enjoyed the confidence of his many friends. He was a member of the Donaldson creek Baptist church.
Burial took place Friday afternoon at three o'clock at the Allen grave yard near the home, funeral services being conducted by Rev. Guy P. Hall, of Wallonia.
