DOROTHY V. LASTER
Dorothy Virginia Jones Laster, 71, Ovil-Shaw Road, died at 5:25 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2000, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center following a brief illness.
Services were scheduled for 2 this afternoon at Lamb Funeral Home, with the Rev. Wilford Harris officiating. Burial was to be in New Ebenezer Church Cemetery.
A native of Christian County, she was born Sept. 14, 1928, the daughter of the late Charlie and Susan Powell Tucker. She had worked in production at International Shoe and Flynn Enterprises and was a member of the West Union Baptist Church. Her first husband, Durwood Jones, died in 1970. Two children, Robert Jones and Marilyn Jones, died in infancy.
Survivors include her husband, Tommy Laster; a son, Dexter Jones, Hopkinsville; a brother, J.C. Tucker, Lexington; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
ROBERTA LASTERELKTON, Ky. -- Roberta Laster, 99, Clifty,
died at 7:47 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2000, at
Hearthstone Place of natural causes.Services were this morning at Latham Funeral
Home, with the Revs. David Wilkerson, Randy
Davenport and Neal Immel officiating. Burial was
in Slaughters Cemetery.A native of Todd County, she was born Dec. 22,
1900, the daughter of the late Horace and Fannie
Settle McGhee. She was a homemaker and a
member of the New Hope Baptist Church. Her
husband, Homer Lawson Laster Sr., died in 1982.
Four children, Evelyn Laster, Helen Laster, Shelly
Ray Laster and Fannie Bell Hooper, preceded her
in death.Survivors include three sons, Shelby Laster,
Elkton, John Laster, Elkton, Homer Laster Jr.,
Crofton; a daughter, Dorothy Lee Latham, Elkton; a
sister, Lucille Moore, Dunmore; 17 grandchildren,
two stepgrandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, one
stepgreat-grandchild and nine
great-great-grandchildren.

Greenville, Ky. - WOODSON LASTER, 82, Greenville, died at 10:33 p.m. Wednesday at his home following a long illness.Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Carter Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. Donnie Wilkins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 9 tonight t Gary's Funeral Home and Saturday at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until time for the service.
