Mrs. Bessie Lowery, 85, formerly of Princeton, (Caldwell County, Ky.), died Friday, March 21, (1997), at St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin, Ill., following a long illness.
A retired transfer knitter from Princeton Hosiery Mill and a member of First Baptist Church of Princeton, she was born June 15, 1911, in Trigg County, a daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Sally Adkins Luttrell.
Survivors include five sons, Charles Lowery of Eddyville, James Lowery of Anthony, Fla., William Lowery of Chicago, Ill., John Lowery of Fox River Grove, Ill., and Robert Lowery of Georgetown, Ga.; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bob Luttrell of Trigg County.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, March 25, at 2 p.m. at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton with the Dr. Bill Tichenor officiating, assisted by Rev. J. Bill Jones.
Burial followed in Fuller Cemetery, Trigg County, Ky.
