DAWSON SPRINGS, Ky. _ The Rev. Joseph Earl McKnight, 85, Dawson Springs, died at 7:16 a.m. Sunday, June 7, 1998, at New Dawson Springs Nursing Home.
Services were to be at 1 this afternoon (6/9/98) at Beshear Funeral Home, with John Lush Russell officiating. Burial was to be in Macedonia Cemetery.
A native of Christian County, he was born Nov. 19, 1912, the son of the late William James and Nora Katherine Lantrip McKnight. He was a farmer, a minister and had worked at Western State Hospital and Pennyrile State
Resort Park. He was a member of the Holiness and Pentecostal church.Survivors include his wife, Mary Evelyn McKnight, Hopkinsville; three daughters, Nora Ludenia McKnight Rolin, Prospect, Tenn., Barbara Ann Perry, Hopkinsville, Sandy Messamore, Madisonville; five sons, James Earl
McKnight, the Rev. Bobby Leon McKnight, the Rev. Eugene McKnight, Ricky Joseph McKnight, all of Dawson Springs, Sammy Butch McKnight, Crofton; a sister, Donie Eli, Madisonville; 22 grandchildren and 23
great-grandchildren.
