Pennyrile Deaths – March 12, 1999

Josephine Jane Mier, 77, Hopkinsville, died at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday at Covington’s Convalescent Center of natural causes.

The body is being cremated. There will be no services or visitation. Hughart and Beard Funeral Home, Hopkinsville, is in charge of arrangements.

A native of San Francisco, Calif., she was born June 17, 1921, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry Porte. She was an office worker for Rockwell. Her husband, Peter J. Mier, preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth Avery, Castalian, Tenn.; a sister, Janis Tarro, Carmichael, Calif., and five grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Big Brothers. -
