Pneumonia Causes the Death of Buck Mitchell
Mr A. Buck MITCHELL, one of the cleverest and most highly
respected citizens of the county, died last Sunday at his home three miles west of Cadiz of pneumonia.
Mr Mitchell ha been sick for several weeks, He was a son of Thomas Mitchell and was about 38 years old.
He is survived the three brothers, P.G. and Josh MITCHELL, of this county, and Dave MITCHELL, of Oklahoma.
A wife, who was formerly Miss Aurora CUNNINGHAM, and five children are left to mourn the loss of a husband and father.
The deceased was a member of the Baptist Church and Rev. John T. Cunningham conducted funeral services. The burial took place Monday at the old family grave yard near Trigg Furnace. H.S. Mitchell of this city is a nephew of the deceased.

Mr. MITCHELL was the eldest son of W. J. MITCHELL, and grew to manhood in the northern section of Trigg county.
After his marriage in early life to Miss MARGARET BUTT, of Lamasco he was later in business in Lamasco, Princeton and Paducah.

Mrs. ROY FREEMAN are the Cadiz relatives in Jackson Tuesday to attend the funeral and burial. In speaking of Mr.

A. LEE MITCHEL, 65, farmer Paducah restaurant proprietor, died at 1:38 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. ALEX STAUBAUGH, Jackson, Ten. Death was attributed to complications following on illness since Saturday.
Mr. MITCHELL had been visiting his daughter for the past five months. All members of his family were at his bedside.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. MARGARET MITCHELL; two daughters, Mrs. STAUBAUGH, of Jackson, and Mrs. CONRAD CARLTON, of Paducah: and by two sons, TROY and CURTIS MITCHELL, both of Paducah, and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held today at Jackson with burial there. MR Mitchell formerly operated a restaurant at
Eleventh and Broadway.Besides the brother W. KING MITCHELL of Cadiz, Mr. MITCHELL us survived by four sisters. They are Mrs. EDD PEARL, of Bowling Green; Mrs. W. T. LITCHFIELD, of Hopkinsville; the mother, Mrs. ELIZA MITCHELL, also lives in Hopkinsville. Mr. MITCHELL professed faith in Christ three years ago.
Funeral was held Tuesday at the West Jackson Baptist Church, with the funeral services conducted by the pastor Rev. R. E. Guy assisted by Dr. Lewis who was preaching a Paducah when Mr. MITCHELL was converted.Paducah - 1932

End Comes To Splendid Old Citizen At The Age of Eighty-Seven
MR. BLAKE B. MITCHELL, a splendid old citizen of Trigg county,died early yesterdy morning near Wallonia at the age of eighty-seven.
Mr. Mitchell had been in feeble health for a long time, and infirmities due to declining years caused his death. Joe H Mitchell and another brother reside in Hopkinsville. The late David Mitchell, south of Cadiz, was another brother.
Mr. Mitchell was a widower and had no living children. The wife died many years ago, and two sons have been dead for a number of years. Two grand children are living.

BRAMLETT U. MITCHELLDeath came to Bramlet U. Mitchell 77, last Wednesday, November 22, after a lingering illness of many months.
He was born on February 13, 1867, the son of Lofton H. and Mildred Vickers Mitchell.
In 1886 he was united in marriage to Henrietta Joyce and to this union were born eight children, six of which has receded him to the grave.
Mr Mitchell spent his entire lifetime in Trigg county. He was a long time member of the Golden Pond Masonic Lodge.
Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon, with the Masons of Golden Pond lodge in charge. Burial was made in the Matheny Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife and daughters, Mrs F.A. Sanders of Campbellsville, Braboy, of Detroit, Mich.

DELLA MITCHELLLast Friday January 14, death took one of Ceruleans best loved citizens, Mrs Della MITCHELL at the age of 69.
Mrs Mitchell was a native Trigg countian and was a member of the Cerulean Baptist Church.
Twice married, Mrs Mitchell leaves one son, Augman, of Henderson, by her first marriage and by the second husband H.E. MITCHELL and O.E. Mitchell.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. from the home and burial was made at Cerulean. Rev.

MRS EDGAR MITCHELLFormer Trigg Woman Dies in Indiana
Word has this week, been received by The Record of the death of Mrs Edgar MITCHELL a former Trigg countian in
Crothersville, Indiana last March 20.
Her remains were brought to this county and burial was made in the Dyers Chapel graveyard beside her husband who preceded her in death 10 years ago.
Mrs Mitchell was the daughter of Robert and Jennie DUNNING of Trigg county. She left the county about 21 years ago to take up residence in Indiana.
She was united in marriage to Edgar Mitchell and to this union were born 10 children, eight of whom survive.
Surviving are John U. Mitchell, Newport, Ky; Herman Mitchell of Paducah, Sampson, Paul and Raymond Mitchell of
Crothersville, Ind, Mrs Ruby Wadlington of Cadiz, James Mitchell, Shelbyville, Ind and Ann Chandler of Austin, Ind.
One son, Robert and one daughter Roberta died several years ago.

Popular Cadiz Young Man Is Picked Up Dead When Car Leaves Road
Companion in Coupe with him Escapes With Very Minor Injuries Sunday
R. EMMETT MITCHELL, 23, Cadiz, son of Mr and Mrs. W. King Mitchell, was killed instantly when the car which he
was driving left the road and turned over about four miles from Eddyville on the Eddyville and Princeton road, about
11 o'clock Sunday night.
Lacy Jons, who was with him, was also thrown from the car, but he suffered only minor injuries. The boys were out riding last Sunday evening and visited Mr and Mrs. Alton Alexander in Kuttawa, leaving there about 10:30 to return to Cadiz.
About four miles out of Eddyville, it is thought that Mitchell, who was driving, went to sleep at the wheel, the car leaving the road and turning over an embankment which is about four feet deep at that place. Mr. Jones in a statement of the accident said that he realized the car was going to leave the road and told Mitchell to "Hold it, " but the car had already started over the embankment.
Jones stated that both he and Mitchell were thrown clear of the car, and that he was knocked unconscious for a few minutes, but upon regaining consciousness found himself lying beside Mitchell, about three feet from the car. It is thought that Mitchell was killed instantly, as he suffered a fractured skull and other injuries, any of which would have proven fatal. He never regained consciouness. Stanley Sharpe, of Princeton was the first to arrive at the scene of the wreck, and later a doctor of Princeton was passing and rendered first aid to Jones, examining Michell and pronouncing him past all medical aid.
The body was brought to the undertaking establishment of Mitchell & Fuqua in Cadiz, where the body was prepared
for burial, and intermant was in the East End Cemetery,
Dr. W.E. Mitchell, of the Cadiz Baptist church, his pastor,
and Rev. Luther Sanders officiated .
Funeral services were at the home. Mr. Mitchell was a son of Mr. and Mrs. W. King Mitchell, of Cadiz and besides his parents he is survived by a sister, Mrs. S.W. Cunningham. Emmet was a popular young man of Cadiz, very pleasant in conduct, neat in appearance and had a host of friends, as was indicated b y the unusual large crowd which attended his funeral and the many beautiful floral designs.

Mrs Francis Mitchell, wife of Elias Mitchell, who died August 5, 1905, passed away March 24, 1906 at the home of
her son in law Thomas Smiley, near Harmony church, Caldwell county, Ky.
She was born in Lyon county, Ky; four miles southeast of Eddyville in the year 1837, and was the daughter of William and Rachel Stephens.
She professed religion in 1854, and united with the Cumberland Presbyterian church of which she was a consistant member for a number of yers then joined the United Baptist church to which she belonged until her death.

Well Known Citizen Of Cadiz Hit By Automobile And Death Follows
Remains Brought Back To Cadiz And Buried AT East End Cemetery Sunday Afternoon
Mr. F. M. Mitchell, a well known citizen of Cadiz, met a tragic death at West Palm Beach, Fla., on November 25th.
He was struck by an automobile as he was alighting from a bus going to his work, and died within a few minutes after.
News of Mr. Mitchell's death reached Cadiz in a brief telegram from Mrs. Mitchell to a daughter, Mrs. Lois Cunningham of this city.
Mr. Mitchell left Cadiz just a few months ago and had been doing well in his new location. Just a few weeks ago Mrs. Mitchell and the two youngest daughters joined him.
The remains were brought back to Cadiz, accompanied by Mrs. Mitchell and the two little daughter, and reached here Saturday night. They were taken to the home of Mr. Lois Cunningham, the son in law, and funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, conducted by Dr. W. E. Mitchell, of the Baptist church, with burial following at East End Cemetery.
Mr. Mitchell was a son of the late W. J. Mitchell, living near Bethesda, and for a number of years past had resided in Cadiz.
His aged mother is living, together with the wife and six daughters and one son: Mrs. Lois Cunningham, Granville Mitchell, and Mrs. Roy Freeman of Cadiz; Mrs. R. L. Trice, of Dixon; Mrs. Jessie Barry, of Louisville and the two little girls Laura Lee and Annaliza.
He is also survived by two brothers, Lee Mitchell, of Paducah; W. King Mitchell, of Cadiz and several sisters.
His tragic death brought much sorrow and sadness to his many friends in his old home county of Trigg.
The West Palm Beach Post of November 26th says of the accident that caused his death.
F.M. Mitchell, aged fifty five, of 313 South Rosemary street, was fatally injured at 8:30 o'clock yesterday morning when he stepped from behind a bus into the path of another machine. He died at Good Samaritan hospital before medical aid could be given him.
Sheriff R. C. Baker, who made the investigation into the death of Mr. Mitchell stated it appeared to be an unavoidable accident. According to witnesses who appeared before the coroner's jury following the fatality. Mitchell dismounted from a Northwood bus into the path of the car, which was drive by Lewis Butler, Negro. The latter swerved his car to avoid hitting Mitchell, but he was caught by the left front fender, rolled against the running board and hurled to the pavement. He was taken to Good Samaritan hospital by C. N. Mc Elvey, of Kelsey City, but died a few minutes after his admittance from a fractured skull.
The coroner's jury will convene again Friday morning at 10 o'clock at review further evidence before returning a verdict. Mitchell had been here about six months coming from Cadiz Ky., with his wife and two children. He has five other grown children in the north. The body will be shipped from Ferguson's undertaking establishment to Cadiz late tonight.

CADIZ, Ky. - Services for Frances Hall Mitchell, 85, Cadiz, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Goodwin Funeral Home with the Revs. Phillip Salmon, Harold Skaggs and Andy Buckingham officiating. Burial will be in the Caldwell Blue Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 tonight.
She died at 3:15 p.m. Sunday at the Crittenden Health System, Marion, of natural causes.
A native of Trigg County, she was born Dec. 29, 1913, the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Bessie Murphy Hall. She was retired from Goodwin Funeral Home Inc. in 1985 after having worked there for more than 28 years. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women, T.O.P.S. and the Cadiz Baptist Church.Survivors include a son, Edward Mitchell, Hopkinsville; two brothers, Hewlett Hall, Caldwell County, Reginald Hall, Cadiz; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

MRS. GEORGE H. MITCHELL, wife of a prominent young attorney of Lexington who is the son of Dr. W. E. Mitchell,
of Cadiz, died early yesterday morning.
News of the dath came in a telegram to Dr. Mitchell, and he and Mrs. Mitchell left at once for Lexington ato attend the funeral.
The Mitchell home had been blessed with a little son on the 9th and the death of the mother has brought gloom to the home when love and happiness might have been anticipated.
She
had visited Cadiz with her husband on a number of occasions and the announcement of her dath was received here with deep sorrow by many.
She was a Miss Tipple of Somerset before her marriage to Mr. Mitchell some years ago.
They formerly resided in Frankfort. Mr. Mitchell being assistant in the office of the Attorney General for four years.

Mrs Hazel Blane Mitchell, 85, of Lyon County, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000, at Caldwell County Hospital in Princeton, following a short illness.
A retired school cafeteria supervisor in the Lyon County School System and member of Liberty Baptist Church in Lyon County, she was born May 9, 1915, in Trigg County, (Ky.), a daughter of the late Edward Seymore and Cicero Berta Thomas Spurlock.
Survivors include a son, Mike Mitchell of Hot Springs, Ark.; two daughters, Yvonne Armstrong of Princeton and Marie Shaw of Clarksville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Brent Armstrong, Steve Armstrong, Kevin Armstrong, David Mitchell, Donald and Larry Shaw, and Janet Shaw Rook; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Ray Spurlock of Caldwell County; and a sister, Rubye Aldridge of Caldwell County.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Dec. 20 at 1 p.m. at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Johnny Davis officiating.
Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, (Princeton, Ky.).

Helen Wood Mitchell, 86, died at 9 a.m. Sunday at Christian Health Center in Hopkinsville of natural causes. Burial will be in Cerulean Cemetery.A native of Trigg County, She was born June 26, 1911, the daughter of the late William Webster and Cora Goodwin Wood. She was a retired Cafeteria Worker at Trigg County Schools and was a member of the Cerulean Baptist Church and the missionary organization, Her husband, Hermit Mitchell, died in 1982.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Harlan "Teet" (Janette) McCain and Mrs. Terry (Faye) Stevens, both of Cerulean; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Accident Fatal To Lofton Mitchell
Popular Young Man Dies As Result Of Automobile Wreck Sunday
Five Men Injured When Ford And Truck Collide On Highway West of Cadiz
Lofton Mitchell, twenty three and son of Mr. Oscar Mitchell, who reside just east of the city limits of Cadiz, died Tuesday afternoon at 4:48 at the family home following serious injuries sustained in an automobile accident last Sunday afternoon about 2:30, three miles west of Cadiz on the Jefferson Davis Highway.
Young Mitchell was twenty three years of age last October and a popular young man with many friends. He was a mechanic and for some time had been employed in the shop of Earl Stalons in this city.
The father and mother, two sisters and three brothers, are among the surviving relatives.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. John t. Cunningham of Princeton, a life long friend of the family was held at the family home yesterday afternoon at one o'clock and the remains were taken to Blue Spring in Caldwell county for burial.
The young man was born near Blue Spring, and grew to young manhood in Caldwell county. Some years ago he came to Cadiz with the family and had resided here since.
His untimely death and the tragic events connected with it are much regretted by all.
The circumstances which cost the young man his live and which caused his companions in the car to receive painful injuries took place Sunday afternoon about 2:30 o'clock.
Young Mitchell was in a Ford car with Dennis Hendrick, Raymond Fuller, Gorman Mitchell and John Gardner, colored, all of Cadiz, and they were coming in the direction of Cadiz. Hendrick was driving the car, Lofton Mitchell being in the front seat with him, and they were traveling at a rather rapid rate of speed.
Near the home of Carey Vinson they caught up with a truck being driven by Louis Timmons, also of Cadiz. In the truck with Mr. Timmons were his wife and four children, his two sisters, Misses Irene and Commie Timmons, of Christian county and his brother in law, James S. Thomas, wife and two children. They had attended preaching at Oak Grove Sunday, and were on their way to visit another sister Mrs. Ellis Stallons, and family on Blue Spring.
Mr. Timmons says that the signal was given that he intended to turn from the highway into the side road between the Crute and Vinson homes going to Blue Spring. Mr. Hendrick says that he sounded his horn for the right of way and that when Mr. Timmons turned to the right side of the road to make his turn into the side road he thought he was giving the Ford the right of way.
However, as the truck was making the turn into the side road going to Blue Spring it collided with the Ford driven by Mr. Hendrick. The right wheel of the Ford struck the truck and the left wheel of the Ford was broken off the axle and the car turned over twice. All the occupants were pinned under the car, and Mr. Timmons undertook to remove the men from the wreck. Others soon arrived on the scene, and when the men were gotten from under the wreck it was discovered that Lofton Mitchell was seriously hurt, and for awhile it was thought he was dead.
A telephone message was hurried to Cadiz and the ambulance soon responded, and the young man was brought to his home near Cadiz. It was discovered that his spine had been seriously injured in the wreck and his condition was seen to be critical. There were times that it was thought he might be better, but these proved to be temporary, and he began to sink Tuesday morning, and death came late in the afternoon.
John Gardner, the colored man, sustained a broken collar bone, which was the most serious injury sustained by any of the other occupants of the car. Gorman Mitchell sustained scratches and bruises about the head and back. Dennis Hendrick sustained a black eye, and his body was bruised in several places. Young Fuller sustained flesh injuries on the hip and back. In addition to his collar bone being broken Gardner also bruised about the arm, head and leg.
None of the occupants of the truck were hurt except Mrs. James Thompson, who under the excitement of the moment, became hysterical and either jumped or fell from the truck and sustained scratches about the body and arms.
The Ford owned by young Hendrick and his brother Garland Hendrick, was completely demolished, but the truck was not damaged but very little.

Caldwell county after an illness of several weeks duration.
Mr Mitchell was a native of Trigg county and several years
ago moved to a farm near Otter Pond.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Otter Pond Baptist Church, of which Mr Mitchell was a member, and interment was made at the cemetery in Princeton.
There survive his wife, Lilly LITCHFIELD MITCHELL, several children and once brother, W.D. MITCHELL of Cadiz, who is the last living member of this larger family. Mrs Alfred Spurlin, Floyd Bush and Henry Atwood attended the funeral. Cadiz Record -

Caldwell's Oldest Citizen Passes Away
End Comes To Mexican War Veteran AT The Age of Ninety-Seven
James F Mitchell, Caldwell county's oldest resident, died at the home of his nephew, Luther Hayes, in the friendship section of the county, near the scene of his boyhood home. He was ninety seven years old and was a veteran of the Mexican War, being a member of Company G., Kentucky Volunteers. He was mustered out in Louisville in 1848. He was probably the last surviving veteran of the war with Mexico residing in Kentucky and one of the few residing in the United States. He was never married and had amassed considerable wealth.
He was an uncle of Albert F. Mitchell, of Cerulean Springs.

MRS MARGULIA MITCHELLDeath came to Mrs. MARGULIA MITCHELL, around 9:45 a. m. last Thursday, October 27, at the Futrell Clinic, where she had been taken a few days before after suffering a heart attack.
She was 86 uears 10 months and 13 days of age, having been born December 14, 1859, in Trigg county.
She was the daughter of the late ALEX and CORDIA MITCHELL.
Mrs. MITCHELL was the widow of the late DENNIS MITCHELL, who died some 45 years ago.
After his death she moved from out in the country to Cadiz 43 years ago.
A member of the Cadiz Baptist church; She became a member in 1913, moving her membership here from the Caldwell Blue Springs church, where she professed faith and became a member in early life.
She was a faithful and hard working church member until poor health prevented her attending.
Funeral arrangements were conducted Friday afternoon at 2:30 from the Cadiz Baptist Church with the Rev. Shirley Spahr offciating, assisted by Rev. E. R. Noel.
Burial was made in East End Cemetery Mitchell and Campbell in charge of the arrangements. Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. C. G. BROWN, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. S. P. Former Trigg Countian Passes Away In West
End Comes To Maxwell Mitchell And Remains To Be Brought Home
Mr. Maxwell Mitchell, a former citizen of Trigg county and son of the late Lee Mitchell, died Tuesday in Idaho. He had resided in the West for a number of years, and had also lived in Montana and Washington and other sections of the West.
He was about forty seven years of age and is survived by two sisters and one brother - Frank Mitchell, of Trigg county; Mrs. F. M. Mitchell, of Louisville, and Mrs. Elbert Jones of Clarksville, Tenn. Two half brothers and two half sisters reside in Hopkinsville.
The remains are to be brought back for burial in Trigg county, which will take place at the Mitchell grave yard near Bethesda. It is not known just when the remains will reach here but it will be Saturday or Sunday perhaps.
He has many other relatives and friends in Trigg county and his untimely death will be regretted by all.

MRS GORDON MITCHELL, of Besthesda neighborhoo, died Monday night of consumption, after an illness of some time.
She was a highly respected lady, about 30 years old, and leaves a husband and one child, besides a host of friends and other relatives to mourn her death. Her remains were entered Tuesday afternoon in the Curling graveyard.

Services for MRS. NINNIE BURNAM MITCHELL, 79, Cadiz, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Goodwin Funeral Home with the Rev. Randall Finley officiating.
Burial will be in East End Cemetery.
Mrs. Mitchell died at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Shady Lawn Nursing Home.
She had been in declining health for a number of years. She was born in Trigg County, the daughter of Yateman and Sarah Elizabeth Gillespie Burnam. One sister, Mrs. Pell Mitchell, preceded her in death.
Survivors includer her husband, Sam J. Mitchell; one son Lacy Hopson Mitchell, Paducah, and two grandchildren.

R GORDON MITCHELLR. GORDON MITCHELL, 69 years of age and the brother of FRANK and W.D. MITCHELL of Trigg county, met death Monday afternoon when a plan fell from a porch he was repairing, striking him in the neck fracturing the vertebra.
Mr. Mitchell, who lived in Lyon county, was at the home of his brother, JIM MITCHELL in Caldwell county where he was working. He had just finished his dinner and had started back to work when the plank fell. it is said that the plank was not a very large one, but that it struck him in the neck at just the right place to fracture the neck.
he was born in Trigg county Feb 07, 1875. His wife, four sons and six daughters survive, Three brothers, JIM
MITCHELL of Caldwell county, and FRANK and W.D. MITCHELL, both of Trigg county also survive.
Burial in the
Curling Graveyard in the Bethesda Neighborhood.

Seldon Mitchell, 76 of the Blackhawk Community in Trigg County, died Wednesday March 19, (1997), at 6:45 at Massac County Hospital in Metropolis, Ill., following a long illness.
A World War II veteran, retired farmer and Lyon County bus driver and member of Blue Springs Baptist Church, he was born May 6, 1920 in Trigg County, a son of the late Bryan and Bertie Bush Mitchell.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Adams Mitchell; three sons, Blakely Mitchell and Marvin Mitchel, both of Caldwell County, and Jerry Glenn Mitchell of Lyon County; a daughter Shelia Mitchell-Hulsey of Madisonville; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret Whitmer of Evansville, Ind.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, March 21 at 2 p.m. at Morgan's Funeral Homr in Princeton with the Rev. Wade Kennedy officiating.
Burial followed in Blue Springs Cemetery, Caldwell County, Ky.

A native of Trigg county, Mrs. MITCHELL moved here last year.
She was a member of the Christian Church at Canton, Ky.
Survivors are a sister, Mrs. LUCY ORSBORN, Paducah; two nephews, THOMAS ORSBORN OF Paducah; and CLARENCE OSBORN, Augustus, Ga., and four nieces, Mrs. BURTON WEIR, Mrs. HEMRY CLARK, and Mrs. J. P. WAITTAKER, all of Paducah; and Mrs.
HAZEL NOEL, of Cadiz.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Canton cemetery. The body is at the residance. Paducah - 1949
THOMAS S. MITCHELLFather of Allen Mitchell Succumbs - Thomas S. Mitchell, 72, died at his home in Evansville Tuesday night of a heart condition. He had been seriously ill for several weeks. He is a former resident of Sebree.
He is survived by his widow, Ollie Mae; two sons, Allen of Sebree and Urie of Henderson; two daughters , Mrs. Raymond Farley of Chandler, Ind., and Mrs. Vernon Medlin of Evansville. Twelve grandchildren and 3 great grand- children.
The body will be at his home in Evansville until Thursday afternoon and be brought to the Springdale Funeral Home where it will remain until the funeral Friday afternoon. Funeral services will be held at the Penacostal Mission here at two o'clock Friday afternoon with burial in Springdale Cemetery.(1878-1951, married Ollie Mae Paddock, Oct 10, 18, 1900, Webster County, Ky. Miss Tishie Mitchell Victim Of Tuberculosis
Splendid Lady South of Cadiz Died Early Sunday Morning At Thirty-Nine
Miss Tishie Mitchell, a splendid lady with many friends, died early Sunday morning at the family home four miles south of Cadiz of tuberculosis. She had been in poor health for some time.
She was the daughter of the late Patrick G. Mitchell, the father dying some years ago and the mother had been dead perhaps two years. She resided with her brothers on the home place, and a sister, Miss Mary Mitchell, died a few weeks ago with the same trouble. The surviving brothers are Gentry, Thurman, Felix and Carter Mitchell, of Trigg county, and Perry Mitchell, who has been in Indiana some time.
She was a splendid lady with many friends and was a member of the Baptist church.
Funeral and burial took place in Cadiz Sunday afternoon, funeral services being held at the grave in East End Cemetery, conducted by Dr. W. E. Mitchell, of the Cadiz Baptist church.
A large number of relatives and sorrowing friends were present.

Mrs. W. E. MITCHELL wife of former pastor of the Cadiz Baptist Church, died Saturday morning after a protracted illness at her home in Covington, Ky.
Funeral services were conducted in Covington Sunday with burial following at her home place, Owenton, Ky.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three children, one daughter, Mrs Harry CARR, of Pineville, two sons, George MITCHELL, of Washington, D.C. and Harry MITCHELL, of Covington.
