Mr. Daniel B. Owsley, one of the oldest and most influential citizens of our county, died at Lafayette Thursday night at 9 o'clock. The funeral will take place at the homestead, near Beverly, this morning. Mr. Owsley was a typical gentlemen. He spent a life of usefulness and leaves behind him a host of friends who sadly regret his departure.

Among Colored People Within Past Few Days
George Owsley died at his home on Elm Street Sunday of fever. He was about 65 years old.
Louisa Broxton, aged 50 years, died near Howell Friday. Death was due to dropsy.Ella Massie died near Edwards' Mill Friday, aged 18 years.

Remains Brought Here and Interred Near Beverly
Mrs. Maude Davie Owsley wife of Robt. P. Owsley, formerly of this city, died in Evansville Saturday. An operation for tumor, was performed the night before and she only survived a few hours. The remains arrived here Sunday morning and were interred in the Davie burying ground near Beverly.
