DIED - On the 16th inst at his home in Cerulean Spring district of pneumonia, Mr. George Pursley aged about fifty years.

OPHELIA PURSLEYWord has been received by Mrs. EDD SPURLOCK of the death of her sister, Mrs. OPHELIA PURSLEY, of Las Angeles, California.
She suffered a stroke six years ago and has been in a hospital there until he death May 4, 1950.
Funeral services were held May sixth conducted by a close friend, Rev Zeimer. She was laid to rest in a California
cemetery near her husband and son.
Mrs. PURSLEY was the former Miss OPHELIA THOMAS, DAUGHTER OF Mr. J. J. and MARY CUNNINGHAM THOMAS. She spent her early life in Trigg county and Cadiz. However she has lived in
California for the past 30 years.
Many relatives and friends sill reside in Trigg county who will mourn her death.
Living a long and devoted Christian life, she had been a member of the Baptist Church since childhood.
Her Husband, Charley Pursley, and three children Sam, Virginia ans Jim Presley, five brothers, Jim Seldon, Cull, John and Clyde Thomas, one sister, Ella Thomas Wilson, all preceded her in death.
Survivors are two grandchildren, SAM PURSLEY, Jr., and MELBA PURSLEY of California, a brother, STARK W. THOMAS of Hopkinsville, a sister CICERO THOMAS SPURLOCK of Princeton; a number of niece and nephews. Cadiz Record - 1950
