KELLY SCHOOL 1913
CHRISTIAN COUNTY, KENTUCKY
Back in 1913 the student body of Kelly's two room,eight
grade school, north of Hopkinsville, on the Madisonville Road
posed for this picture. The school, located back of the
Kelly Baptist Church, burned years ago. the old photo
was provided by Mrs. W. C. Gladdish, now a teacher at Crofton
School, whose sister, Miss Elizabeth Hayes, was one of the two
teachers back then. The other was Mrs. Nora Williamson.
Many of the pupils still live in the Kelly community.
