Not withstanding for on of my age. I am yet able to consume a large percentage of the luxuries of life and especily that part that is well flavored with fish an venison. Now how is it with you. Do you have plenty of this worlds good to keep soul and body together? If you dont you had better come North old boy, where people always have plenty to eat and wear and where we can lay our heads down at night and rest without fear of being aroused up before day by a midnight assassin or a Goebel inserrection. Oh wicked and idolators generation, and I hope Dear Cousin you will not take any part in such a wicked war, let them fight it out among themselves. Notwithstanding Taylor is govenor and should have his seat. But o such a blood thirsty foe that he has to contend with. I would like to see you all but have no anxiety to go to the State of Kentucky. Come and see me. Well Bill where is your Bro John and how is he getting along in this world. Tell him I would love to see him and have a foot race with him once more. What is his address. I have been trying to get them and their mother to sell out and come to Mich. but have given up all hopes now. For myself I as one I will end my days in Mich. and have never found any State that suits me any better for a farming and fruit country and as for health and good water it cant be beat.
