DAVIS, WILMA
Wilma Ethel Fyffe Davis, 78, of Jeffersonville, formerly of Dingus, died Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at U. K. Medical Center in Lexington. Born July 11, 1927 in Morgan County, Kentucky, Wilma was a daughter of the late Oliver Allen Fyffe and Opal Catherine Hamilton Fyffe. She was a homemaker and member of Lick Fork Pentecostal Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by five brothers, Major, Berlin, Edward, James Darrell and Melvin Fyffe ; and a brother-in-law, Curt Davis. Survivors include her husband, Corbie Davis ; a special niece, Veda Lewis of West Liberty and a host of nieces , nephews and friends ; three sisters, Velma and Eugene Haney of West Liberty, Belva and Charlie Jones of Piqua, Ohio, and Geneva and Jim Vinson of Fairborn, Ohio ; one brother, Elwood Fyffe and wife Mary of Fairborn, Ohio ; three sisters-in-law, Juanita and Duke Wiblin of Pine Hurst, North Carolina, Leatha and Willie Conley of Wrigley and Stella and L. B. Caskey of Grayson ; three brothers-in-law, Delma Davis of West Port, Indiana, and Gordon and Emma Davis of West Liberty. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, October 22 at Herald and Stewart and Halsey Funeral Chapel with Rev. Eugene Haney officiating. Burial followed in the Davis Cemetery at Wrigley with Herald and Stewart and Halsey Funeral Home of West Liberty in charge of arrangements. Active pallbearers were Lynn Caskey , Billy Lewis , Billy Conley, Jackie Conley, Jeff Conley, Ricky Davis, Tim Davis, and Eric Adkins. Honorary pallbearers were Clyde Allen Fyffe, Kenny Fyffe, Tony Fyffe, Corbie Allen Fyffe, Connel Shurwood and Jeff Vinson.

DEATON, NANCY L.
Nancy Lee Deaton, 66, of Little Bloody Creek Road, Campton, wife of Henderson Deaton, died Sunday, December 17, 2005 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington after a long illness. She was born in Winchester, Kentucky a daughter of the late Stanley and Della Everman Wade and was a step-daughter of the late Maxine Zarnes. She was a member of the Old Time Religion Church and was a nurse. Survivors include her husband, Henderson Deaton ; one son, David Grouge and wife Vada of Campton ; four step-sons, Robert Deaton and wife Rita of Leeco, Larry Deaton and wife Yvonna of Ezel, Tom Deaton of England, and Gary Deaton of Campton ; one daughter, Della Short and husband Darrin of Campton ; one sister, Ann Ford of Lexington. One nephew, Samuel Dean Wade ; two nieces, Kathy King and Leann Ford ; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 20 at the Old Time Religion Church with Bro. Doug Dunn officiating. Burial followed in the Evans Crossing Cemetery in Campton with funeral arrangements under the direction of Porter and Son Funeral Directors of Campton.

DELONG, LACY
Lacy DeLong, beloved husband of Zelda Short Collins DeLong, of Mt. Sterling and son of the late Cletis and Vada Lacy DeLong, died Sunday, February 12, 2006 at his residence. He was an 85 year old native of Morgan County, a Navy veteran of World War II, a retired farmer and employee of International Harvester, and attended Emmanuel Baptist Church in Mt. Sterling. He is survived by a step-daughter, Sharon Fannin of Clarksville, Tennessee ; three step-grandchildren, Keith Fannin, Andrea, Richard, and Chase Fannin ; two step-great-grandchildren ; a brother, Edsel DeLong of Sparks, Nevada ; a sister, Juanita DeLong of Maggie Valley, North Carolina, and several nieces and nephews. His funeral was held at Herald and Steward Home For Funerals and entombment was at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens in Lexington. Pallbearers were Don Ensor, Bobby Gregory, Mark Ledford, Tim Anderson, Paul Fannin, and Chase Fannin.

DENNIS, DEWARD C. JR.
Deward Clay Dennis , Jr., 74, of West Liberty, died Saturday, April 8, 2006 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born Tuesday, February 2, 1923 in Morgan County, Kentucky, Deward was the son of Ida Patton Dennis of West Liberty and the late Deward Clay Dennis, Sr. He retired from the State Highway Department where he was a maintenance engineer.
Deward was a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Army , a member of White Oak Christian Church, member of Highland Masonic Lodge # 311, and West Liberty Lions Club where he served as president. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two sons, Randall Clay Dennis and Steven Dale Dennis. Survivors besides his mother include his wife, Mary Louise Davidson Dennis ; one son, Craig Davidson Dennis and wife Amanda of Morehead ; two granddaughters, Katie Dennis and Madison Dennis, both of Morehead ; one sister, Betty Jo Bryant and husband, Jim of Los Angeles, California ; and 2 nieces. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 11 at Potter Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Keith McAliley and Elder Jimmy Adkins officiating. Burial followed in the Patton Cemetery at West Liberty with Potter Funeral Home of West Liberty in charge of arrangements. Memorial were suggested to Morgan County ARH Home Health. Active pallbearers were Hank Allen, Brock Litteral, John West, Tommy Steele, Phim Spillman, Randy Williams, James sergent, and George Weddington. Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Perry, Halcomb, Marshall, Fred Denney, Randall Williams, Stanley Franklin, Stanley Johnson, Alton Pelfrey, Walter Brown, and Howard Elam.

Crystal Donahue, 97, of Morehead, died Saturday, February 4, 2006 at Fleming County Hospital in Flemingsburg. He was born March 4, 1908 in Morgan County, Kentucky a son of the late Bert and Cora Byron Donahue. His wife, Lorean Staton Donahue preceded him in death on January 4, 1994. He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Mary Sue Donahue and Martha Elizabeth Donahue ; one granddaughter, Melissa Donahue ; and three sisters, Lorene McKinney, Ethel Black, and Zealliea Behnke. Survivors include one son, John David Donahue and wife Debbie of Salt Lick ; four daughters, Etta Mae Brown, Wanda Gilley, and Naomi Donahue Moore Harris and husband Lloyd E. , all of Morehead , and Hazel Melton and husband Larry of Mt. Vernon, Illinois ; two brothers, Ira Donahue of Morehead and Orville Donahue of Ashland ; one sister, Gladys LeMaster of Morehead ; 13 grandchildren ; 21 great-grandchildren ; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Crystal was a former farmer , sawmill owner, school bus driver, construction worker, and rock collector. He was a member of the Church of God. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 7 at Northcutt and Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. Guy McKenzie officiating. Burial followed in the Clearfield Cemetery with Northcutt and Son Funeral Home of Morehead in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Clay Caldwell, Christopher Kissinger, Donald Moore, Jr., Malen Moore, Mark Moore, and Allen Donahue.

DULEN, GENEVA
Geneva Dulen, 76 , of Piqua, Ohio, died Wednesday, February 1, 2006 in the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, Ohio. She was born December 8, 1929 at Silver Hill, Kentucky a daughter of the late Gobel and Thelma Pendleton Jones. She married Rev. Woodruff L. ( Brub ) Dulen on July 13, 1948 and he preceded her in death March 10, 2000. Geneva is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charlie and Belva Jones and Edward and Estalene Jones, all of Piqua, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Marine Pfc. Rendle Dulen who was killed in Vietnam; and a sister, Martha Cantrell. Geneva was a member of the Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church of Urbana, Ohio. She retired in 1992 from Upper Valley Medical Center. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, raising a garden, and canning. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Sunday, February 5 at Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church, Urbana, Ohio with Pastor Tennison Dotson officiating assisted by Elders Hesker Gillum and J.C.Hager. Burial followed in Upper Honey Creek Cemetery near Christiansburg, Ohio with Suber-Shively Funeral Home of Fletcher, Ohio in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions were suggested to Hospice of Miami County, P.O. Box 502, Troy, Ohio 45373.

Woodrow Dulen, 66, of Old Hwy. 172, West Liberty, died Monday, March
20, 2006 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead following an
extended illness. He was born November 1, 1939 in Morgan County,
Kentucky a son of the late Elder John Dulen and Rosa Pack Dulen.
Woodrow was a retired truck driver and member of Old Paint Primitive
Baptist Church at Crockett. In addition to his parents he was preceded
in death by 3 sisters and 4 brothers. Survivors include his wife,
Wendelene Smith Dulen ; two daughters, Barbara and Curtis Adkins of
Williamson, West Virginia and Brenda and Marvin Holbrook of West
Liberty ; one granddaughter, Samantha Adkins. Funeral services were
conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 23, at Herald and Stewart and
Halsey Chapel with Elder Jerry Brown and Elder Ricky Holbrook
officiating. Burial followed in the Dulen Cemetery on Upper Sand Lick
Road, West Liberty, with Herald and Stewart and Halsey Funeral Home of
West Liberty in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Raleigh Jenkins, Carl Smith, David Hurley, Eugene
Smith, Michael Holbrook, and Lowell McCoy Holbrook.
