FALLEN, JESSE M.
Jesse Miles Fallen, 81, of Hazel Green, husband of Geneva Fallen, died at his residence Thursday, Match 9, 2006. He was born at Daysboro, Kentucky a son of the late Charlie Green and Clemma Oldfield Fallen. He was a retired plumber. Survivors in addition to his wife include four brothers, Charles Fallen Jr. and wife Bertha, Elbert Grayden Fallen and wife Marjorie, and pHarold Stanley Fallen, all of Hazel Green, and Harry K. Fallen of Englewood, Ohio ; two sisters, Loretta Nickell and husband Herman and Mildred Gleason, all of Hazel green ; and a large number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 12 at Porter and Son Funeral Directors Chapel with Bro. Charlie Glover officiating. Burial followed in the Fallen Family Cemetery on Fallen Road with Porter and Son Funeral Directors of Campton in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Donald Nickell, Tony Fallen, Ray Fallen, Elbert Fallen, Arnold Fallen Jr., and Larry Fallen.

FANNIN, ESTILL JR.
Estill Fannin Jr., 78, of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida, died Monday, February 27, 2006 in an Inverness, Florida hospital. Mr. Fannin was born March 8, 1928 at Grayson, Kentucky a son of the late Estill R. Fannin and Nellie Fannin. He was a teacher, a carpenter, and veteran of of the U.S. Air Force and Army. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda ; a grandson who died in a Sandy Hook house fire ; also preceding him in death was Effie P. Dew of Knoxville, Tennessee on October 11,1992. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Fannin ; one son, J.D. Fannin ; and a daughter, Joan Fannin, all of Florida ; two grandsons, Jimmy Fannin and Michael ; three sisters, Iva and Billy Joe Adkins ; Della Fannin, and Elizabeth and Waldo Lacy of Grassy Creek. A memorial service was conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 4 at Purcell Funeral Home in Bushnell, Florida with Rev. Bill Jackson officiating. Mr. Fannin`s ashes will be at Morehead, Kentucky at a later date.

FANNIN, MARVIN D.
On March 9, 1940 Oscar H. and Mary Maude Lewis Fannin of Eldridge, Kentucky welcomed their thirteenth and last child into their family and named him Marvin Dale. His childhood days were spent in various locations, including Eldridge ( now called Isonville ) , Sandy Hook, Kentucky, and Fairborn, Ohio. Times were difficult but Marvin and his brothers spent happy days playing outside on the hills and in the creeks. At an early age his mother took him along to church where he learned the things of the Lord and he accepted Christ as his Savior at the age of 17. By then he had also developed the talent of singing and playing the guitar and blessed many congregations with his songs. He married Bertha Brenneman in 1961, and became the father of two sons, Stephen Dale and Timothy Charles. Today the family includes two daughters-in-law, Lisa and Joann, and four grandchildren, Pearl, Alex, Katie, and Kyle. Most of his adult life since his marriage, was spent in Virginia, where he worked more then 20 years as a Rehabilitation Counselor for the State. He was noted for his diligence and ability in helping many clients develop needed skills to return to gainful employment.
In 1993, after retirement, Marvin and his wife returned to his native Elliott County, and he quickly became active in the church of his childhood, Newcomb Valley First Enterprise Baptist Church. In 1998 he was ordained to the ministry, and since then has served as assistant pastor. Marvin always had a driving desire to learn the message of the Bible, and was quite active in teaching Sunday school and Bible Study Classes. Preceding him in death were his parents, Oscar and Maude Fannin, brothers, Rolla Fannin, Roger Fannin, Ralph Fannin, and two infant boys, sisters Grovie Carter, Martha Sloas, and two infant girls. Three brothers survive, Delbert Fannin of Ashland, Kentucky, Robert Fannin of Fairborn, Ohio, and Rodney Fannin of Sandy Hook, Kentucky. He will be remembered for his wit, generosity, zeal for the things of God, love for gospel music, and especially for concern for unsaved relatives and friends. Bertha, Steve and Tim have been almost overwhelmed with the generous outpouring of love and support from our precious friends who have come, brought gifts of food, given Gideon Bibles in his memory, blessed us with the beautiful floral arrangements, visited and encouraged us with your prayers, May God richly reward you. The ladies of Newcomb Valley Church have prepared a meal for family and friends from a distance to provide nourishment and an opportunity for fellowship. It was served immediately after the burial at the lunch room of the church. Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 28,2006 at Lewis and Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel in Sandy Hook with clergy Mike Adkins, Steve Stolzfus, and Russell Griffith officiating. Burial in the Fannin-Eldridge Cemetery.

FERGUSON, DONNA J.
Donna Jean Coberly Ferguson, 61, of Campton, died Thursday, February 9, 2006 at Wolfe County Health Care Center. She was born Monday, February 21, 1944 in Tampa, Florida a daughter of the late Gloria Coberly. Donna was a member of Old Paint Primitive Baptist Church and a nurse aide. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her husband, Vaughn Ferguson ; one son, Emerson Ferguson ; one brother, Johnny Smith ; and a sister, Betty Owens. Survivors include two daughters, Kelli Coberly of North Plains, Oregon and Melonie Hollon and husband Patrick of Frankfort ; seven grandchildren, Christopher, Christine, Cindy, Lora, Travis, Patrick and Scotty ; four sisters, Mary Bowmer, Mary Vallejo, Denna Cobb, and Peggy Lau ; three brothers, Harry Smith, Joseph Smith, and David Smith. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.

FERGUSON, MYRA Y.
Myra Y. Ferguson, 57, of Red Bank, Tennessee, died Sunday, April 2, 2006 at her residence. She was born November 4, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan a daughter of the late James Moore and Myrtle Emogean Harbison Moore. Myra was a retired cross country truck driver. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Kurby Ferguson. Survivors include one daughter, Denise Crouse and husband Stefan Riddle of Chattanooga, Tennessee ; one son, Doug Shearer of Taylor, Michigan ; one sister, Teresa Maxwell of Lincoln Park, Michigan ; two brothers, Dwayne Moore of Florida and Dennis Bell of Lawrey, Massachussetts ; seven grandchildren, Christopher, Tiffany, Anne, mary, Litte Doug, and Dillon ; one great-grandchild, Devean Marie Crouse. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, April 7 at Herald and Stewart and Halsey Funeral Chapel with Stefan Riddle officiating. Burial followed in the Loveless Cemetery at Grassy Creek with Herald and Stewart and Halsey Funeral Home of West Liberty in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were friends and relatives.

FRANCIS, JAMES H.
James Henry Francis, 44, of West Liberty, died Thursday, February 23,2006 at his residence. Born Wednesday, September 13, 1961 at West Liberty, Kentucky, Henry was a son of Melissa Lyon Francis and the late Arcus Francis. He attended Lacy Creek Church of Christ, was a graduate of Morgan County High School, and Mayo Vocational School. He was a welder, mechanic, and a truck driver. Besides his father he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hassel and Bertha Lyon, and Dennie and Virgie Francis ; three aunts, Jewell Francis, Rebecca Clubb, and Betty Lou Reed. Survivors include a daughter, Santana Rae Francis and two sons, James Mason Francis and Magnum Corey Francis, all of West Liberty ; his mother, Melissa Francis of West Liberty ; three sisters, Elaine Russell and husband Joe and Pam Jackson and husband Mark, all of Georgetown , and Marcia Francis of Highway 191, Hazel Green ; six nieces and nephews, Nicole Shaver, Misty Hutchinson, Brandon Hutchinson, Scott Bradley, Joey Russell, and Joni Jackson ; 5 great-nieces ; 3 uncles ; and 2 aunts. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Febryary 25 at Potter Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Jimmy Adkins officiating. Burial followed in the Nickell Cemetery at Matthew with Potter Funeral Home of West Liberty in charge of arrangements. Active pallbearers were Jeff Helton, Dale Carpenter, Timmy Laws, Keith Burton, Danny Ray Fannin, Anthony Helton, Stewart Lyon, and Glenn Marcus Francis. Honorary pallbearers were Scott Bradley, Joey Russell, and Brandon Hutchinson.

Albert B. Fugate, 86, of Dayton, Ohio, formerly of West Liberty, Kentucky, died Monday, March 6, 2006 at his residence. Born Sunday, June 15, 1919 at Licking River, Kentucky, Albert was the son of the late Floyd and Anna Frances McKenzie Fugate. He was a retired machinist at NCR, and a veteran of World War II. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Elmer Fugate and a sister, Irene Collinsworth. Survivors include four children, Mary Frances Fugate and Albert Clyde Fugate, both of Dayton, Ohio, Alberta June Roberts and husband Bob of Frankfort, and Richard Keith Fugate and wife Peggy of Springfield, Ohio ; 10 grandchildren, Timothy Fugate, Matthew Fugate, Joshua Fugate, Phillip Keith Fugate, Brittany Joanna Fugate, Ashley Marie Perkins, Anita Conrad, Richard Roberts, Russell Roberts, and Danny Roberts ; six great-grandchildren, Blade Mamula , Harlye Mamula, Carolyn Mamula, Peja Mamula, Brayden Fugate, and Christopher Fugate ; one brother, Bert Fugate. Funeral services were conducted Friday, March 10 at Potter Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Gary Ferguson officiating. Burial followed in the Neal Valley Cemetery at West Liberty with Potter Funeral Home of West Liberty in charge of arrangements. Military rites were conducted at the graveside by Morgan County DAV. Pallbearers were Richard Keith Fugate, Albert Clyde Fugate, Joshua Fugate, Timmy Fugate, Matthew Fugate, Phillip Mamula, and Mark Wolf.

Kenneth “ Moko “ Fugate , 53, of Sandy Hook died Thursday, December 1,2005 at Morgan County Appalachian Regional Hospital in West Liberty. Born Wednesday, May 21, 1952 in Mount Sterling, Kentucky Kenneth was a son of the late Ray and Betty Jo Wilson Fugate. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Survivors include his wife, Diane Fugate ; one son, Jerry Fugate of Mount Sterling ; a daughter, Samantha Cantrell and husband Nick of West Liberty ; two step-children, T.J. Cantrell and Stephanie of Isonville and Shannon Smith of West Liberty ; three grandchildren, Chellie Nicole Cantrell, Cody Ray Cantrell, and Chloe Alexander Cantrell ; one step-grandchild, Kayla Brickey ; two brothers, Brent Profitt and Walter Kirk ; also two beloved dogs, Trixie and Snoodle ; and two cats, Moe Kitty and Oreo. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Sunday, December 4 at Potter Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Keeton and Rev. Terry Cantrell officiating. Burial followed in the Fugate Family Cemetery at Isonville with Potter Funeral Home of West Liberty in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Dr. Alan Schultz, Aaron Wehunt, Kenny Sparks, James Caudill, Bobby Gilliam, and Dairl Robbins.
