Elmer Thomas Caskey, 97, of Ashland, Ky., died Saturday, April 13, 2002, in Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville, KY.
Mr. Caskey was born April 16, 1904, in Pomp, Ky., a son of the late Jesse James and Amanda Dehart Caskey.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Erma Alice Caskey in 1986.
He was retired from Armco Steel west processing department, was an Army veteran, and attended the Pentecostal Church.
Surviving are a son, Robert Lee (Dorothy) Caskey of Louisville; a brother, Oval Caskey of Mackay, Ind.;
a sister-in-law, Lorene Caskey of Morgan County, Ky.; a granddaughter, Amanda Caskey-Kostecki of Chicago, Ill.;
and a grandson-in-law, Edward Kostecki of Chicago.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2002, at Steen Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel by Cecel Thornbury.
Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
Friends may call after noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
