OBITUARY OF:


NEVADA GREEAR


Mrs. Nevada Fugate Greear, wife of W. B. Greear, of Greear, and mother
of Morgan County Judge Noah P. Greear, died at 5 a.m. Wednesday
following a short illness. She was 80 years of age.
Funeral service for the aged lady will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m.
at the Church of God on Little Caney with Rev. Herb Wheeler officating
and interment will be made in the family cemetery on Grassy.
Mrs. Greear was born Sept. 21, 1867 at Grassy Creek, a daughter of the
late Elle and Mary Brown Fugate, pioneer citizens. She had been a
member of the Christian church for many years.
She was married to W. B. Greear July 1, 1887 and to this union 12
children were born. Six have died and six survive, as follows: Grover S.
Greear of Bardstown, Ky; Judge, Noah P. Greear of West Liberty; Mrs.
Nola Mae Hamilton of Ezel; Nathan E. Greear of Colorado; Volney B.
Greear of Ft. Custer, Mich; and Roy Greear of Dayton, Ohio. W. B.
Greear, the husband, also survives and a brother, Jesse B. Fugate of
Denniston.
