Mrs. Hamilton Dies At
Coffee Creek Sunday
After Long Illness
Mrs. J. E. Hamilton died at her home on Coffee Creek Sunday after a long
illness. She had been an invalid for 14 years.
She is survived by her husband; seven daughters: Mrs. Herbert Ferguson,
Lebanon, Ohio; Mrs. Orville Adams, West Liberty; Mrs. Kenneth Lykins,
Portsmouth, Ohio; Mrs. Hymer Gamble, Albany, Ohio; Mrs. Herbert Abshear,
Middletown, Ohio; and Mrs Ollie Fyffe and Mrs. Rollie Williams, Dingus; two
sons: Major Hamilton, Ashland; and Ralph Hamilton, Dingus. Also
surviving are five sisters: Mrs. Ed Cantrill of Mansfield, Ohio; Mrs. Ed
Ferguson of Catlettsburg; Mrs. Sanford Hamilton, Silver Hill; Mrs.
Marion Williams, West Liberty and Mrs. Mirtie Cox, Mansfield, Ohio; four
brothers: Ron Cantrill; John and Joe Cantrill of Ashland; Eddie Cantrill
of Dayton, Ohio.
Funeral was conducted by the Revs. A. C. Bradley and Dallas Beculhimer.
(Sarah Ellen was the daughter of John Cantrell and Mary Fugate. She was
born 24 Aug 1886 in Morgan Co., KY and married John Ed Hamilton on 21
Sep 1904 in Morgan Co., KY. She was buried at the Hamilton Cemetery,
Coffee Creek, Silverhill, Morgan Co., KY.)
