Wm. B. Greear, 91, retired farmer and native of Grassy Creek, died June
23 in the Frenchburg Hospital.
Mr. Greear was born at Grassy Creek, a son of the late Hiram and Zarilda
Hitchbottom Greear. He was a member of the Christian Church.
Funeral was conducted Thursday morning at the Potter Chapel in West
Liberty with Rev. Russell Brown and Rev. Glenn Lawson officiating, and
interment was in the family cemetery at Grassy Creek.
He is survived by four sons and one daughter, Noah P. Greear of Greear,
G. S. Greear of Bardstown, Ky., Nathan E. Greear of Scottsburg, Ind.,
Volney B. Greear of Cleveland, Ohio and Mrs. R. M. Hamilton of
Frenchburg.
Mr. Greear was a farmer of the Little Caney section of Morgan, but had
lived with his daughter, Mrs. Hamilton, in Frenchburg for several years.
