George Hayes Anderson & Sarah Emily (Reams) Anderson &
grandson, George Emily Anderson. George Hayes Anderson, born 1839 in
Ireland (?); died April 23, 1917 in Mt. Vernon, Rockcastle Co., Ky. He
married Sarah Emily (Reams) Anderson. She was born March 12, 1857 in
Laurel County, Kentucky; she died July 08, 1920 in Mt. Vernon, Boones
Hollow, Kentucky. She was the daughter of John Harrison Reams of London,
Ky. and Melvina E. Dees of Laurel Co., Ky. George & Sarah (Reams) Anderson
are both buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mt. Vernon, Ky.
The child that George is holding in the photo is one of their grandchildren, George Emily Anderson, son of John Harrison Anderson & Dora Ellen (Jordan) Anderson. George Emily Anderson, born November 11, 1910, Hazel Patch, Kentucky; died July 08, 1949, Bristow, Creek Co., Oklahoma. George was victim of tragic dump truck accident. His survivors were "Liz" (Potter) Anderson & one son, and three daughters. George Emily Anderson and Elizabeth "Liz" Potter are both buried in Oakhill Cemetery, Bristow, Creek Co., Oklahoma.
