This picture was taken in the fall of 1947 in Stanford, (Lincoln County) Ky., just a few months before Clora died. She was only 50 years old when she passed on in Jan. 1948. She was laid out in this small house where she lived. She wasn't born in Rockcastle County, but was born in Bell County, KY. However she lived most of her life in Brodhead. She and my grandfather had nine children, including a set of twins.

Children's names in order of their birth---Mary, Ernest, Robert, Roberta, John and Willie (twins), Delmer, Charles and Viola.
