Stanley Adams, 81, of 1253 Red Lick Road, Berea, died Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at Marcum and Wallace Hospital in Irvine from complications of a stroke. He was a Rockcastle County native born Aug. 14, 1922, son of the late Wolford Adams and the late Bertha Anglin Adams Hensley, a farmer, property owner, former Security Guard, WW II U.S. Army veteran, Honorable KY Colonel, and had been a resident of Madison County most of his life.
Survivors include his wife, Mabel Rose Adams of Berea; 1 son, Mike (Katherine) Adams of Berea; 1 sister, Thelma Ballinger of Mt. Vernon; 1 grandson, Cody Adams, 1 step granddaughter, Janet Coffey; 2 step great grandchildren, Natasha Nicole Coffey, Samatha Coffey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Oakley Adams.
Funeral service 11:00 AM, Friday, March 19, 2004 at Reppert Funeral Home with Rev. Billy VanWinkle officiating. Burial will follow in the Adams-Rose Cemetery. Visitation 6 - 9 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be: Raymond Coffey, David Jenkins, Chris Phillips, John Wayne Coffey, Ira Coffey, Stanley Earl Adams.
