Chester Baker
age 77 of Flat Gap Rd. Berea died Thursday Dec. 11, 2003 at the VA Medical
Center in Lexington, KY. Chester was a farmer, well driller and former
factory employee. He was also a world war II US Army veteran. Chester was
preceded in death by his parents John Henry and Mary Lee Hamblen Baker. 2
brothers Russell and Johnny George (Jay) Baker and 2 sisters Stella
Anglin, and Gladys Matney.
Chester is
survived by his significant other Lilly Dobbs of Mt. Vernon. 5 sisters
Hazel Blanton of Paint Lick, Edna Mae Lear of Junction City, Lena Rucker
of Berea, Lucy Jones of Owensboro, and Margaret Lamb of Berea. Chester is
also survived by his special daughter Kathy (Chuck) Feltner, and special
grandchildren Charli and Kayla Feltner all of Mt. Vernon.
Funeral
services will be Monday Dec. 15, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lakes Funeral
Home, with Rev. Cecil Burns officiating. Burial with military honors will
be in the Fairview Cemetery, in Rockcastle County. Pallbearers will be
Chuck Feltner, Eddie Lear, Tim Saylor, Randall Thacker, Buram Van Winkle,
and Bill Van Winkle. Visitation will be Sunday Dec. 14, 2003 after 5:00
p.m. at the Lakes Funeral Home.
