Mrs. Bessie Wright Blessner, age 90 of Mt. Vernon, died Thursday, Mar. 18 at the Rockcastle Hospital. She was born in Charleston, WV on Sep. 21, 1913 the daughter of Robert and Laura Belle Johnson Wright. She was a retired nurse, a member of the Eastern Star, and was of the Baptist Faith.

She is survived by a son, Claude Huff (Louise) of Mt. Vernon; and a sister, Juanita Pennington of Louisa, KY. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Claude William Napier (Jackie) and Glenda Sue Simpson (Kevin) of Louisville, and Brian Napier (Jennifer) and Christie Wallin of Mt. Vernon; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard G. Blessner of Minnesota; a son, Bob R. Napier; a brother, Ralph Wright; and a sister Alma Crawford.
