Mrs. Joyce A. Bullen, age 61 of Rt. 3 Mt. Vernon, died Saturday, Jan. 31 at her home. She was born in Rockcastle County on Oct. 19, 1942. She was an employee of Parker Seal. She was a member of the Scaffold Cane Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 25 years and was a member of the Gideons Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Bullen; two sons, Scott Bullen of Mt. Vernon, and Stephen Gary Bullen (Jan) of Apex, NC; three daughters, Mary Mathis (Terry) of Somerset, Sandy Riddle (David) of Mt. Vernon, and Marcia Bullen Bird (Wayne) of Williamsburg; two sisters, Jenny Griffin and Diane Lamb, both of Mt. Vernon; and ten grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, J.C. Rimell; four brothers; and one sister.
