Anglin born 3-31-1912 Rockcastle Co Ky to Mattie Cook Vol 37 Cert 14793 July 7, 2004 Journal News, Hamilton, Ohio Ora Coffey Hamilton woman enjoyed painting HAMILTON — Ora Coffey enjoyed painting, relatives said. The Hamilton great-grandmother of eight died Monday at Wellington Manor at age 92. “She had an interest in painting and reading,” said Donald Depew, her son-in-law. “She liked her church work.” She also loved making quilts. Coffey was born to Henry C. and Mattie Anglin on March 31, 1912, [Rockcastle County], in Kentucky. She worked as a welder for Estate Stove Company and as a seamstress for Fashion Frocks, both in Hamilton. Coffey is survived by her daughter, Lula Mae Depew of Hamilton; her sisters, Nannie Murphy of Avon Park, Fla., Lillie Sargent of South Lebanon, Laura Martin of Berea, Ky., and Addie Ballinger of Powell, Tenn.; her brother, Aster Anglin of Lexington, Ky.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Walter Stanley Coffey. She was a member of Fairfield West Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Webb Noonan Funeral Home on Ross Avenue in Hamilton, followed by burial at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation is at noon at the funeral home. |
