Mrs. Rebecca
Susan Sowder Countryman, age 54, of Hwy. 39, wife of William H.
Countryman, passed away, Wed. September 15, 2004 at Central Baptist
Hospital in Lexington, Ky.
She was born
on November 9, 1949 in Kankakee, Illinois, a daughter of the late E.J.
and Gladys June Bishop Sowder. She attended Brindle Ridge Baptist Church
and her hobbies and interest include Bingo, Bowling, Puzzles, and
collectibles. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
On June 29,
1968 she was united in holy matrimony to William H. Countryman and from
that union came four children-David, Tonia, Kelly and Noah. Those left
to mourn her passing include her husband of 36 years, Wm. H. Countryman
of Woodstock, Ky; Three children- David Countryman and wife Leslie of
Somerset, Ky.; Tonia Martin and husband Michael of Crab Orchard, Ky; and
Kelly Countryman and wife Chris of Campbellsburg, Ind.; Nine
grandchildren-William Matthew, Kristina, Trey, Jacob, Noah, Austin,
Victorya and Gabriella Countryman and Kayla Martin. Three
brothers-Michael Sowder and wife Judy; Tommy Sowder; and Timmy Sowder.
Three sisters-Phyllis Curtis, Sandy Ison and husband Danny; and Sally
Leek and husband James.
Besides her
parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Noah Steven Countryman.
Visitation
will Friday, September 17th, 2004 from 6-9P at the Marvin E. Owens Home
for Funerals in Brodhead, Ky. AND
Saturday,
September 18th, 2004 from 9A-till time of service.
Funeral
services will be conducted Saturday, September 18th, 2004 at 1PM at the
Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals Chapel with Bro. Ron Roberts
officiating with burial in Providence Cemetery at Quail, Ky.
