19 Jan 1999 CRAB ORCHARD - Pearl Mae
Kidwell Elam, 80, of Edwards Road, died Tuesday at her home after a long
illness. Born Sept. 10, 1918, in
Rockcastle County, she was a daughter of the late Curt and Sarah Lunsford
Kidwell. She was a homemaker and a member of Watts Chapel Baptist Church. She
was the widow of James E. Elam Sr. Survivors include five
sons, Eugene Elam, Billy C. Elam, Eddie Elam and Mike Elam, all of Crab Orchard,
and Leon Elam of Copper Creek; four daughters, Rosella Halcomb and Sue Lamb,
both of Crab Orchard, Betty Todd of Broughtontown and Lona Sims of Richmond; a
brother, Earl Kidwell of Brodhead; 25 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two children, James E. Elam Jr. and Barbara J.
Elam. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at McKnight-Martin Funeral Home by the Revs. Barry Delaney and Cecil Roundtree. Burial will be in Piney Grove Cemetery. |
