Engle, 64, of 10365 Lebanon Road, Parksville, died Friday at Central Baptist
Hospital, Lexington. Born April 18, 1932, in
Rockcastle County, he was a son of Walter Engle of Parksville and the late
Berlie Crowe Engle. He was self-employed as owner of Engle Builders in
Parksville. He graduated from Perryville High School and served in the U.S. Air
Force, where he was a staff sergeant during the Korean War. He was a member of
Mitchellsburg Baptist Church. Additional survivors
include his wife, Shirley ``Poppy'' Roller Engle; two daughters, Kayvonne
Shewmaker and Kandice D. Engle, both of Parksville; three sons, Kerry Lee Engle
of Michigan, Jeffery Dana Engle of Florida, and Warren Lee Engle II of Antioch,
Tenn.; four sisters, Nannie Roysdon of Mitchellsburg, Edna Shannon and Ina Shaw,
both of Danville, and Wanda Shewmaker of Parksville; and five grandchildren. Services will be held 11
a.m. Monday at Wilder Funeral Home by the Rev. Bill Hall. Burial will be in
Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers are Danny Steele, Johnny Shewmaker, David Roysdon, Scott Shannon, Bill Engle and Larry Barnes. |
