Mrs. Retha Jean Fletcher, age 68 of Rt. 1 Mt. Vernon, died Thursday, Apr. 8 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington. She was born in Rockcastle County on Jan. 6, 1936 the daughter of Cecil and Pearl Chaney Bullock. She was a homemaker and a member of the Sand Springs Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Jim Fletcher; one daughter, Connie Lear (Michael) of Mt. Vernon; two brothers, Doyle Bullock and Wayne Bullock, both of Mt. Vernon; three sisters, Cuba Kirby of Mt. Vernon, Bonnie Mullins of Livingston, and Lois Cox of Greenwood, IN. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Bullock.
