Mrs. Thelma Jane Fletcher, 87 of Rt. #4 Mt. Vernon died Saturday
January 3, 2004 at the Rockcastle Hospital after a long illness. She was born on
November 18, 1916 in Rockcastle County the daughter of the late Sam and Susie Rash Brown.
She was a retired restaurant cook and enjoyed quilting and gardening. She was a
member of the Brodhead Christian Church.
Survivors are: Two sons; R. S. Fletcher and wife Dianna of
Lebanon,
Tenn., and Paul Fletcher and wife Melesa of Mt. Sterling, KY. Three daughters;
Mrs. Ruth Hasty and husband Raymond of Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Lillian Lawson and
husband Jim of Afton, Wyoming, and Mrs. Bernice Arnold of Indianapolis, Ind. Two
brothers; Carl Brown of Indianapolis, Ind. and Tom Brown of Cincinnati, Ohio. One
sister; Mrs. Edna Silcox of Louisville, KY. Eighteen grandchildren,
Twenty-one
great grandchildren, and several great, great grandchildren also survive. She
was preceded in death by her husband; Burgess Fletcher and by one daughter; Glenna
Sue Fletcher Brooks, by two brothers; Sherman and Jack Brown, and by four
sisters; Flonnie Marcum, Bertha Stevens, Etta Anderkin, and Lois
Sowder. |
