MELETTA NICELY GADD, age 71, of 108 Rogers Street, Berea, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2003 at the St. Joseph Hospice Care Center in Lexington following an illness. She was a Rockcastle County native, born Sept. 29, 1932, daughter of the late Other and Lily Mae King Nicely, former supermarket bakery employee, and member of Westside Baptist Church.

Survivors include 1 son, Walter (Sherry Sparks) Hammond of Berea; 1 daughter, Joni (Tim) Williams of Damascus, VA; 1 brother, Ronald Nicely of Mt. Vernon; 2 grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben Gadd, and 6 brothers and sisters.

Private services under the direction of Reppert Funeral Home. No public service. Memorial contributions suggested to Hospice Care Plus.
