Amos Jennings Amos Jennings, 73, of Richmond, died Saturday, March 13, 2004, at his home after a short illness. He was born Nov. 16, 1930, in Orlando, Ky., to Arthur and Mattie Allen Jennings and has lived here since 1941. He retired from Belden Corp. in 1992, where he worked 34 years as an extruder operator. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Howard Thomas American Legion Post 315 and Kirk Little VFW Post 1108. He was a Kentucky Colonel. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Josephine Jennings; his son, Chuck Jennings of Richmond; his mother, Mattie Jennings of Richmond; four sisters, Christine Golson, Marcella Shores, Virgie and husband Dale Markley and Gladys Arvin of Richmond; aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2004, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Elthur Hale officiating. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1401 Chester Blvd., Richmond, IN 47374. |
