Mr. John “Ing”
Kirby age 96, of Rt.#1 Brodhead died Monday June 14, 2004 at the
Rockcastle Hospital. He was born on April 23, 1908 in Rockcastle County
the son of the late Harrison and Magdalene Renner Kirby. He was a
retired farmer, and a member of the Poplar Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors
are: two sons; John Kirby Jr., and wife Margaret, and James Kirby, and
wife Marguerite all of Nicholasville, Ky.. Four daughters; Mrs. Joyce
Robbins, and husband Cecil of Jeffersonville, Ind., Mrs. Magdalene
Shockley, and husband Calvin of Stuart, Va., Mrs. Glenda Mize, and
husband Conley of Willailla, Ky., and Mrs. Betty Williams, and husband
Glenn of Nicholasville, Ky. Two sisters; Mrs. Beatrice Cromer of
Midland, Oh., and Mrs. Bessie Watson of Banning, Calif. Seventeen
grandchildren and spouses; Lisa Robbins, Vicki Robbins Fuchs, and Pat,
Judy Robbins Garcia, and Jorge, Becky Shockley Epperson, and Dan, John
Shockley and Beth, Gary Kirby, Greg Kirby and Gail, Glen Kirby and
Jennifer, Dwayne Kirby and Robin, Jeanette Kirby King and Doug, Bruce
Kirby, Jennifer Riddle Salmons and Dallas, Bryan Riddle and Shelly,
Johnna Riddle Rose and Shane, Jody Adams, Kesha Williams, and Yvette
Williams, and Yvette Williams. Two step-grandchildren & spouses; Johnny
Mize and Jan, Ronnie Mize and Teri. Twenty-seven great grandchildren:
Erica and Nicky Fuchs, Zachary, Ethan, and Trey Garcia, Ashley and
Lauren Epperson, Kirby Shockley, Ashley, Alesha, And Andrew Kirby,
Zachery and Elizabeth Kirby, Hannah And John Kirby, Aaron and
Christopher and Joshua Riddle, and Savannah and Emily Rose. Three
step-great grandchildren; Jennifer Gabbard, Josh Mize, and Sally Mize.
Several cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends also survive.
He was
preceded in death by: his wife; Mrs. Flonnie Nicely Kirby, by one son;
John William Kirby, by three brothers; Bill, Elbert, and Everett Kirby,
by four sisters; Roberta Bullock, Beulah Evans, Bonnie Calder, and
Bertha Cress, by one son-in-law; Walter “Duke” Riddle,
