MARLER, John Calvin 72, Somerset Ky., died 31 May 2001, Lake Cumberland Region Hospital. Born in Rockcastle Co. Ky on March 29, 1929, he was the son of the late Mollie Petrey Marler and John T. Marler. He worked for Sterns and Foster Co. in Cincinnati, OH.
Survivors include one daughter, Fanny Yvonne Marler of Atlanta, Ga. one sister, Jaunita Bayer of MS., one step sister Evelyn Poynter of Mt. Vernon Ky. Six grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two step sisters, Edna Poynter and Edith McKinney. Funeral services will be 2:00 p m Monday. June 4, 2001 at Memory Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. J.S. New officiating. Burial will be at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
