Mrs. Eva Belle Martin, age 72 of Livingston, died Monday, Sep. 6 at her home. She was born in Jackson Co., KY on Aug. 21, 1932 the daughter of Ellis and Sarah Mallicoat Shearer. She was a homemaker and a member of the Morning View Holiness Church.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Murphy Martin, Jr.; four sons, John Martin (Karen) and Frankie Martin (Patricia), both of Mt. Vernon, Jarvis Martin (Dianna) of Berea, and Eugene Martin (Tammi) of Red Hill; three daughters, Pam Elliott (Dennis) of Mt. Vernon, Marlene Johnson (Robert) of London, and Diane Carpenter (Curtis) of Red Hill; one brother, Ray Shearer (Joyce) of McKee; one sister, Linda Patrick (John) of Berea; 12 grandchildren, Carrie Cain, Jeremy Martin, April Martin, Alex Martin, Anthony Martin, Michael Martin, Amy Elliott, Jason Martin, Kelly Martin, Casey Carpenter, Gary Lynn Maggard, and Jessica Maggard; one great grandchild, Kyleigh Martin; and one daughter-in-law, Brenda Hatton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Sarah Shearer; and a son, James O. Martin.
