9-29-1988: William Thomas Mason died. "Mount Vernon Signal," Rockcastle County, Kentucky, obit dated 10-13-1988, follows; William Thomas Mason, 79, of Livingston, died Sept. 29, 1988 at the Rockcastle Hospital. He was born in Rockcastle County April 12, 1909, the son of James Arthur and Alice Renner Mason. He was retired from the L & N Railroad. He is survived by a daughter, Geneva Chandler of Fairfield, Ohio and two sons, Everett Mason of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Clifton Mason of Sandusky, Ohio; a brother, Jesse Mason of Livingston, and five sisters, Fannie Mason, Lela Jones and Myrtle Bradley, all of Livingston, Ida Smith of Mt. Vernon and Betty Barron of Brodhead. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Services were Oct 01, at the Dowell and Martin Funeral Home by Bro. Allen Hensley. Burial was in the Mason Cemetery at Livingston. Pallbearers were Edd Barron, Ricky Barron, Freddy Mason, Bobby Mason, Johnny Chandler, and Jim Reynolds. |
