McFERRON, WILLIAM ANDREW

Mr. William Andrew McFerron, 79, of Mt. Vernon, died Saturday, November 1, 1997 at the Rockcastle Hospital.

Born June 17, 1918 in Rockcastle County, he was the son of Harvey McFerron and the late Cordie Robbins McFerron.

He was a retired farmer and a member of the Baptist Church.

In addition to his father, survivors include: his wife, Fern Pullum McFerron, Mt. Vernon; three sons, Charles McFerron and wife Faye, Billy McFerron and wife Joanne and Ralph McFerron and wife Joanne, all of Harrodsburg; five daughters, Geneva Pulliam and husband Hershel, Jeanette Miller and husband Carlos, Pearl Votaw and Carolyn Vinyard and husband Tim, all of Harrodsburg; three brothers, Estill McFerron and Ronald McFerron, both of Mt. Vernon, and Lester McFerron, Sharonville, OH; four sisters, Rissie Newman, Lockland, OH, Lorene Rowe, Sharonville, OH, Lucy Durham and Louella French, both of Mt. Vernon; 20 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Mitchell and Paul McFerron.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 4, at Dowell and Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, with Bro. Lester Caldwell officiating. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ronnie Pulliam, Jay Miller, Wayne Taylor, Timmy Taylor, Billy Votaw and William McFerron.
