Mrs. Ella B. Moore, 74 of Route #1
Mt. Vernon died Sunday January 4, 2004
at the Rockcastle Hospital. She was born on March 15, 1929 in Rockcastle
County the daughter of the late Charles and Lola Stephens Marler. She enjoyed
gardening and was a member of the First Church of Jesus Christ at Sand Springs.
Survivors are: Two sons; Jerry Moore and wife, Patrica and Jimmy Moore
and wife, Melbia all of Mt. Vernon. Three daughters; Mrs. Joanna
McClure and husband Ralph of Somerset, Mrs. Brenda Cottrell and husband Darrell of
Brodhead, and Mrs. Debbie Cameron and husband Duane of Berea. Four
brothers; Charles Marlow of Mt. Vernon, John Frank Marlowe of Jeffersonville, KY,
Bueal Marler of Mt. Vernon and Ray Marler of Morehead, KY. One sister; Mrs.
Sylvia Evans of Morning View, KY. Seven grandchildren; Nikki Bullen, Andrew
Cromer, Slade Moore, Kesha and Ross McClure, and Ashley and Kimberly Cottrell.
One great grandchild; Dylan Bullen. She was preceded in death by her first
husband; Homer Drexell Simpson, her second husband; James Edwin Moore, by two
sons; Tony Simpson and Jeffery Moore, and by two sisters; Evelyn McCreary and
Pearl Wilson.
