Mr. John Holly Mullins, age 93 of Rt. 2 Mt. Vernon, died Tuesday, Mar. 30 at the East Kentucky Veterans Center in Hazard. He was born in Rockcastle County on June 27, 1910 the son of William A. and Mary Durham Mullins. He was a retired farmer and an Army veteran of World War II.

He is survived by two sons, Jerry Mullins (Evia) of Mt. Vernon, and Darrell Mullins of Orlando; five stepsons, Victor Mullins of Dayton, OH, Lowell Mullins (Carol) of Jonesboro, GA, Bill Mullins (Wanda) of Mt. Vernon, Paul Mullins of Hamilton, OH, and Russell Mullins (Kathleen) of Dayton, OH; and one stepdaughter, Rose Marie Phillips (Clarence) of Brookville, OH. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
