Mrs. Nancy Ann Baker Mullins, age 64 of Rt. 6 Mt. Vernon, died Monday, May 31 at the St. Joseph Hospital East in Lexington. She was born in Climax, KY on Apr. 14, 1940 the daughter of Henry "Short" and Lona Ballinger Baker. She was a dietician for Berea Health Care and a member of the Maple Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Jamie Lynn Mullins of Mt. Vernon; three brothers, Fred Cook of Three Links, Ed Baker of Johnetta, and J.B. Baker of Green Hill; and three sisters, Zelma Mullins of Roundstone, Hazel Fowler of Cincinnati, OH, and Isabelle Abner of Shirley, IN. Also surviving are three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, including two very special nieces, Jo Cook and Beverly Cook; and a very special longtime friend, Rachel Cromer. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Mullins; her parents, Henry and Lona Baker; a daughter, Angela Mullins; five brothers; and a sister.
