Mr. Lloyd "Pee Wee" Owens, age 67 of West Main St. in Mt. Vernon, died Tuesday, Mar. 2 at the Rockcastle Hospital. He was born in Rockcastle County on Sep. 4, 1936 the son of Charlie and Annie Laswell Owens. He was a retired construction worker and a member of the East London Church of God.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Ruth Mink Owens; seven sons, Clarence Owens (Martha), Bobby Owens (Kim), and Wayne Owens (Marecca), all of Orlando, Kelly Owens (Katrina) of London, Lee Owens (Crystal) of Brodhead, Jeff Owens of Mt. Vernon, and Randall Owens of Lancaster; two daughters, Tresa Fields (Tony) of Bremem, KY and Imogene Williams (Dennis) of Mt. Vernon; one brother, Delbert Owens of Richmond, IN; and three sisters, Icie Belle Poynter and Glenna Mink, both of Mt. Vernon, and Wanda Hensley of Orlando. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Annie Owens; and two brothers, Hubert and Henry Clay Owens.
