Myrtle Faye Webb Payne
Mrs. Myrtle Faye Webb Payne, 62, widow of Clyde Payne, of Rt. 1, Mt. Vernon, died November 19, 2003 at the Rockcastle Health and Rehab in Brodhead.
Mrs. Payne was born April 16, 1941 in Red Lick, the daughter of Barney and Maude Webb. She had been a homemaker and farmer, having a great love for the land. She was a member of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include her children, James Clyde Payne (Joy) of Brodhead, Scott Payne of Mt. Vernon, Brenda Faye Rigsby of Berea and Helen Faye Abney (Terry) of Mt. Vernon; a stepdaughter, Rhonda Akers of Indianapolis, IN; 11 grandchildren; one brother, B. F. Webb of Big Hill; five sisters, Ruth Lakes, Elizabeth Young and Helen Croucher, all of Berea, Madaline Sargent of Brodhead and Imogene Medlock of Richmond and special friends, Dalmas and Barb Bullock, Carolyn Powell, Dawn Brock, Jack and Jean Skeen and Ona Whitaker.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, November 21 at the Marvin E. Owens Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Freedom Cemetery at Mt. Vernon.
Casketbearers were: Gary Miracle, Joe Cummins, Mark Cummins, Billy Whitaker, Darrell Whitaker and Harold Whitaker. Honorary casketbearers were: Delmas Bullock, Paul Cummins, Jack Skeen and Ted Durham. |
