Mrs. Effie Perciful age 101, of Louisville, Ky. and formerly of Mt.Vernon died Wednesday August 4, 2004 at her home. She was born on December 18, 1902 in Rockcastle County the daughter of the late William and Glida Baker Reynolds. She was the former owner of

Perciful’s Variety Store, member of the Mt.Vernon Women’s Club, and was a member of the Mt.Vernon Christian Church.

Survivors are: two sons; Jack “Nell” Perciful DMD, and Lewis Perciful both of Louisville. One brother; Billy McHargue and wife Sadie of Shepherdsville, Ky.. One sister; Mrs. Elva Jean Singleton of Louisville. Three grandchildren; John Perciful, Diane Sauter, and Janice Stevenson. Four great grandchildren; Jordon Perciful, Lindsay Renner, Joseph Sauter, and Michelle Anderson also survive. She was preceded in death by: her husband; McKinley Perciful.
