Mrs. Flossie Gustafson Quinn Powley, 100, of New Smyrna Beach, FL died on November 28, 2003, at the Bert Fish Medical Center.
She was born August 17, 1903, the daughter of the late August and Mary Louise Kolfrat Gustafson and moved to New Smyrna Beach, FL in 1953 where she taught Adult Education Crafts for many years. She was a graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and attended Sue Bennett Junior College and Stetson University. She also taught school in Rockcastle County. She was a member of the Livingston Christian Church in Livingston.
Surviving is one daughter, Mary Kathalene Quinn Hunt (William E.) of Mt. Vernon and two granddaughters, Mary Alice Hunt and Virginia L. Hunt Darst (M. Thomas) all of Mt. Vernon. She was Preceded in death by two half brothers, George and Cecil Wiederhold; a half sister, Sibyl Wiederhold Hunt; four brothers, Roscoe, Ivan, Austin and Oscar Gustafson; two sisters, Esther Griffin and Christine Girt and two husbands, John Clifford Quinn and Eugene V. Powley.
