Mrs. Christine Purcell Ramsey, 90 of Route #4 Mt. Vernon died Saturday February 8, 2003 at the Knox County Hospital in Barbourville, KY after a long illness. She was born on March 23, 1912 in Rockcastle County the daughter of the late John and Florence Roberts Purcell. She enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Rose Hill Christian Church.
Survivors are: Four nephews; John M. Purcell of Mt. Vernon, Robert, Jim, and John E. Purcell all of Michigan. Two nieces; Bonnie Cole of Georgia and Sue Purcell of Michigan. Several great nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband; Aden Ramsey, by five brothers; Bernard, Monroe, Everett, Arvin, and Floyd Purcell , and by one sister; Dorothy Purcell. | |
