9-25-1990: Walter C. Renner died. Rockcastle County, Kentucky news article, "Mount Vernon Signal," obit, dated 10-04-1990, follows; Walter C. Renner, 76, of Mt. Vernon, died Sept. 25, 1990 at the Rockcastle Hospital of injuries from a fall at his home. He was born on Aug. 15,1914 in Rockcastle County, the son of the late Harve and Martha Ellen Renner. He was a former Kentucky Stone Company quarry worker, a janitor for the Department of Human Resources, and member of the Town Hill Holiness Church. Survivors are: His wife, Elsie Renner of Mt. Vernon: three sons, John Renner of Deland, Fla., Barry Renner of West Alexandria, Ohio, and Dennis Renner of York, S. Car.; a daughter, Mrs. Annabess Shatto of Port St. John, Fla., nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son and two sisters. Services were held Sept. 29 at the Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Bros. Rolla Cornelius and Virgil Bustle officiating. Burial was in Rowe Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mike Renner, Jimmy Renner, Jerry Renner, Eddie Durose, Mike Goad, and Jack Bustle. |
