Mary S. Cates Rogers, age 90 of 1417 Mt. Vernon Road, Berea, died Thursday, May 20, 2004 following an illness. She was a Madison County native born Aug. 30, 1913, daughter of the late George and Lucinda Williams Cates, housewife, farmer, property owner, and she attended Owsley Fork Baptist Church.

Survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, A. B. Rogers, 3 sisters, and 1 brother.

Funeral service 2:00 PM Sunday, May 23, 2004 at Owsley Fork Baptist Church with Bro. Kenneth Wilder and Bro. Herron Carmack officiating. Burial will follow in the Cates Cemetery. Visitation 6 - 9 PM Saturday at Reppert Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Herbert Isaacs, Preston Chandler, Tyler Vaughn, Roger Isaacs, Eric Isaacs, Michael Freson. Honorary pallbearers will be the Ladies of Owsley Fork Baptist Church.
