Mrs. Bonnie Mae Parriman Rose, age 70, widow of Ted Rose of Brodhead, Ky. passed away Saturday, April 10, 2004.

 

She was born on May 28, 1933 in Hamilton, OH., a daughter of the late William Lyman and Cumile Brummet Parriman. She was a member of the Brodhead Christian Church, R.E.A.C.T. and the Wolf Clan of her native American Indian Heritage. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, a people person, who enjoyed antique collecting, writing, artist and playing the ukulele.

 

On July 14 ,1953 she was united in holy matrimony to Ted Rose and from that union came five children-Linda Sue, Teddy, Tammie, Greg and Starla Jean.

 

Those left to mourn her passing include her children-Linda Sue "L.R." Rose of Richmond, Ky. ; Teddy Rose and wife Margie of Brodhead, Ky; Tammie Mitchell and husband Mark of Frankfort, Ky; and Greg Rose and wife Sara of Brodhead, Ky; Grandchildren-Kelby Johnson (Nicole); Christie Michelle Downs (Frank); Courtney Rose; John Koenig; Jessica, Heather & Channing Mitchell; Starla Sky Rose-Benge (Eric); Kandace Mae Rose; Tucker & Eli Rose. Nine great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. One brother-Roy Parriman and wife Judy of Brodhead, Ky; Two sisters-Betty Bicknel and husband Gene of Canyon Creek, Montana; and Gertrude Henry of Whitley City, Ky.

 

Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Starla Jean Rose; two brothers-Vernon and Benny Parriman.

 

Visitation for Mrs. Bonnie Rose will be Monday, April 12, 2004 at 6P at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals in Brodhead, Ky; Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at 3PM at the Funeral Home Chapel with Bros. Tracy Valentine, Charles Howard and Wendell Johnson officiating; burial will follow in the Negro Creek Cemetery. Expressions of Sympathy may be made to Hospice Care Plus @ Berea, Ky.
