Mr. Stewart Rowe, age 63 of Stanford and formerly of Mt. Vernon, died Saturday, Mar. 27 at his home. He was born in Rockcastle County on Oct. 15, 1940 the son of Robert Lee and Winnie Lee Price Rowe. He was a construction worker for the Allen Company and was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Harper Rowe; one son, Scott Rowe of Stanford; one daughter, Beverly Pumphrey of Stanford; two brothers, Lewis Rowe and Leon Rowe, both of Mt. Vernon; and one sister, Shirley Rowe of Mt. Vernon. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Katelyn Kirby and Brandon Pumphrey. He was preceded in death by his parents Rob and Winnie Rowe; four brothers, Arthur, James, Floyd, and Donald Rowe; and two sisters, Elsie and Lorene.
